Mary Jo Kopechne was pulled from Ted Kennedy's car 40 years ago yesterday.

Unlike how some feel about the lunar landing, which also celebrates a 40 year anniversary, I believe the incident at Chappaquiddick really happened.

    Another compassionate liberal action.

“Do we operate under a system of equal justice under law?
Or is there one system for the average citizen
and another for the high and mighty?”

    - Senator Ted Kennedy, 1973

"Senator Kennedy killed that girl the same as if he put a gun to her head and pulled the trigger." - George Killen ~ State Police Detective-Lieutenant who investigated the accident

    Statements taken from witnesses:
    • ( 3 ) - Rum and Cokes aboard the Bettawin -(witness: Stan Moore )
    • ( 2 ) - Heineken Beers at the Shiretown Inn -( witness: Joseph Gargan )
    • ( 1 ) - Rum and Coke in hot tub at Lawrence Cottage - ( witness: Jack Crimmins )
    • ( 2 )* - Rum and Cokes at the Party -( witness: Ted Kennedy )
*Because this number is based on Kennedy's inquest testimony, it should be viewed with some skepticism. The actual number of drinks was more. The Manchester Union Leader reportedthat Senator Kennedy had charged 17 long distance telephone calls to his credit card during the hours he claimed to be "in shock" after the accident.

Farrar made his beliefs perfectly clear
    :

Farrar repeatedly expressed the opinion that Mary Jo Kopechne had lived for some time underwater by breathing a bubble of trapped air, and that she could have been saved if rescue personnel had been promptly called to the scene. He had equipment to administer air to a trapped person directly or to augment an air pocket inside a submerged automobile.

"There was a great possibility that we could have saved Mary Jo's life," Farrar said. "There would have been an airlock in the car - there always is in such submersions - that would have kept her alive. If we had been called, I would have reached the scene in 45 minutes. I say 45 minutes because it was dark. ( The daylight recovery had taken 30 minutes ). The lack of light might have caused a delay of 15 minutes."

And yet, the good folks in Massachusetts continue to elect him to the Senate, term after term.

Those liberals are the forgiving sort, I suppose...... or they really do have two sets of standards.

    peace to you:praying:

I am grateful that God is more forgiving of my sins, than men are of others; and that he remembers them no more.

Not a particularly neat murder but Kennedy got away with it. Actually I believe it was a double murder. But then liberals don't consider unborn children human. Wonder if there is sufficient wax to get him out of purgatory.

This is what the democrat hierarchy have always wanted, a plutocracy where the privileged class don't answer to the law. Just like the period of the divine right of kings and the living gods of Rome and Egypt.

So you don't believe that the lunar landing actually occurred? That puts you in a very select group of people most of which wear straight jackets all the time.

You don't know how to read, do you ? That puts you in a select group of folks who really shouldn't be sneaking onto mommy's computer.

I've always liked Ted Kennedy and although I don't live in Massachusetts, I am glad he is a Senator. In spite of this accident, I believe Mr. Kennedy has done much more good than bad and America is fortunate to have had his services these past decades.

I totally agree. He has been a voice of compassionate liberalism in the US Senate.

We would have expected no less from MP in supporting a murderer.

so you endorse people committing crimes and buying their way out if their rich enough?
what proof do you offer that he asked God to forgive him? if he had, wouldn't he also face his consequences, or run form them?
