    This isn't "prayer." This is a political statement. Lord, forgive those who don't know the difference between faith and politics.

    There is a lot of back and forth that goes on around here. But using prayer to the Father in such a manner makes a mockery out of prayer and is irreverent to say the least.

    Where were you Jack when the Republican Congress passed for the third time a bill, twice vetoed by Clinton, which Bush signed and the Supreme Court upheld that banned the barbaric practice of Partial Birth Abortion:sleeping_2: :sleeping_2: :sleeping_2:

    Thank you, brother. We are commanded in the Holy Scriptures to pray on behalf of one another.

    Ephes. 6:18 (KJV)
    Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

    Do you think it would be possible for you to abide by the BB Posting Rules, which you agreed to abide by when you joined the site, and stop posting over-sized images?

    BB Posting Rule:

    12. Limit image size. Any image used in a post may not exceed the size of the BB logo at the top of the homepage.

    So, help me understand what this is saying to the Church.

    1 Timothy 2:1-8
    1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
    2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
    3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
    4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
    5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
    6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
    7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
    8I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.:praying: :praying: :praying:

    BB,

    My prayer has prevented me from entering into wrath, hatred and doubt. Are you sure that you want to refute my stand? Why does a believer refuse that comfort to a fellow believer?

    To all those that are standing with me let me say this, Thank you and may God richly bless all that you endeavor to do in His behalf.

    Mel

    What kind of question is this?
    More ridicule BB???
    More excuses????

    I happen to know at least one pastor in jail for obediance to the word! His name? Why should I trust it to a forum where Some say they are 'Christian' but sow discord and abuse upon each other?

    Amen and Amen!

    That and the fact that BB never answers any challenge put to him, and will disappear from a there, only to pop up on another one with the same ridiculous assertions.....

    Makes debating him/her very frustrating.

    He mocks God. He sows discord. He ridicules prayer. He defends socialism which is trust in the state or government instead of God. His compassion is absent. ......

    He has needs, to feel important, to find expression, to be recognized, to belong, to feel exclusive, to be loved, to be thought of as 'smart', ego and pride. I will pray that God will touch him and as he gives him insight, will also touch my attitude: Perhaps I give him too much attention. :praying:

    True! People who do not know of this really have their head in the sand. I happen to have two evangelist friends who were arrested and fined for handing out Gospel tracts, and another, that I know of, beaten up and jailed for street preaching (not offensive speech, either: just warning of the judgment, and sharing the good news).

    If Christians don't get out of their bubble, it will soon be too late. I fear it already is.

    Except that He's wrong. As someone already stated on this forum, Bush signed into law a ban on Partial Birth Abortion that was vetoed two times before by Clinton. Not only that, Bush is also the primary agent that halted the harvesting of "embryos" (you know, Babies) for Stem Cell research.

    BO has stated the first thing he will do in office is enact the "Freedom of Choice" act, which will make all of these laws, including state laws restricting abortion (which many states have), null and void. With the Congress that he has, this should not be a problem.

    All hail the Chief..

    Another thing that these folks fail to see is that every judge that Mr Bush has sent up for confirmation has been blocked by the Dems in Congress for the last several years. Some he has had to appoint while Congress was out of session.

    Do you have a link to him making this statement? Why do you guys continue to make stuff up on Obama? Can't we discuss the facts?

    Obama is consumed with the economy and and the transition and hasn't given abortion or taking your guns any thought.

    Several in the lower courts.
    This is the type of partisanship that has held up judicial appointments for most of his 8 years of service.
