And the lesser competition would cause less productive output, causing prices to rise.
Also, if less competition caused your salary to be marginally higher, you would be in the crosshairs of the leftist elites in government who would demonize you for being greedy and milk you for all you are worth to pay for the increasing welfare burden.

It would not be a win for you.

You had better beg and plead LadyEagle to stay in the workforce.

    ;)

Sounds rather conservative to me! If your job produces goods and/or services to make things cheaper, then yes.

Going on welfare adds ZERO to the economy. Any maintenance or expense properly goes on the Liabilities side of the balance sheet.

True, if you mean productive work. If someone's work produces a useless mudpie, or someone is paid to dig a hole and another is paid to fill it in, then the labor becomes a waste of resources and a liability.

Smart work that results in increasing the standard of living by utilizing scarce resources to increase the supply of useful goods and services is what built this country.

No, we need to restore pure, unadulterated free market capitalism where no one gets bailed out, no one can get government favors, and no one is punished for reaping the fruits of labor and risk-taking.

We do not need a mob-ocracy where the minority can get raped and pillaged by the majority.
We don't need 50%+1 of the population constantly adding to the legal code to plunder the 50%-1.
We don't need a system where, if you have a unique opinion, you can be suppressed every time.

We need a system that recognizes individual rights that come from our Creator that can never be taken away by law, regardless if a king, oligarchy, or democracy wants to benefit themselves at the expense of the rest.

I believe that was the original intent of the Founding Fathers.

Alright, but if that's how you see it, why didn't you quit after 2008?

Because obama didn't have a record as POTUS and obamacare wasn't law, for starters. And there weren't 46 million Americans on food stamps. And he hadn't added more to the national debt in 3-1/2 years than all the other presidents combined in the history of our nation....
