Featured If the American Flag threatens Muslims they need to find another country

    It’s the very symbol of patriotism — Old Glory, as William Driver (a 19th-century American sea captain) nicknamed it. But even as we close in on Independence Day, more and more people across the country are calling the American flag a threat and inappropriate home garnishing.

    A week ago, the landlord of a Texas man called the American flag “a threat to the Muslim community” and ordered him to remove it from his home, according to KHOU-TV.

    Duy Tran said the Stars and Stripes means a lot to him. Posting the flag was the least he could do, he said, especially in the light of his friends who died for this country.

    Tran added: “What really stunned me is that she said it’s a threat towards the Muslim community. I mean, I’m not a threat to (anybody).”

    When KHOU-TV tried to confront the manager about the statement, she answered no questions; and the crew was escorted from the premises by a security officer with a note that read: “While the Lodge on El Dorado admires our resident’s patriotism, we must enforce our property rules and guidelines. Such guidelines maintain the aesthetics of our apartment community and provide for the safety of all residents. The apartment community already proudly displays our country’s flag in a safe and appropriate manner at the entrances to our community.”

    So even though Tran had hung his flag with proper etiquette from his balcony, it wasn’t “safe and appropriate”? Are we now going to tell Americans that only one flag is allowed per 1,000 residents?

    Oh for pity's sake.....so why is that person in America? Go home!! Of course folk like that make people's blood boil, and any spillage will be felt by those who are genuine migrants seeking a new home and a better future for their kids..

    Just a thought, Americans have flags everywhere even in the churches....do the Muslim centres have them and if not why not!

    Interesting, how is respecting the flag od a country idol worship? You would have to assume the flag is held higher than God. How did you come to that conclusion based on my post?

    Some of the Muslims ARE finding another country. They are called ISIS. They now own parts of Iraq and Syria.

    I do not like it - not one little bit. Literally wrapping the cross in a flag? How can the two possibly be connected?

    I don't think stuff like [​IMG]

    helps your post. It may have been well intentioned, but putting that flag up on the Cross is blasphemous to me.

    Perhaps laying it at the foot of the Cross would present a better picture. But wrapping it up there ON the Cross? I don't like that.

    Be careful about what get's lifted up onto a Cross that only One could bear. Don't be surprised ifothers start to dishonor the Cross too based upon the trivial use of it coming out of the Church.

    The Cross should not be draped with anything that doesn't point people to Jesus and His sacrifice.

    It always amazes me that the ones who screech the loudest that all us idjuts don't know how to read or apply the scripture are leading the charge with the hate and name calling. It's like shooting fish in the barrel. I also love how they use the scripture that condemns them for insulting the leaders of this country to try and convince themselves that their idol worship is God ordained.

    "But our citizenship is in heaven--and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ..."

    You can have your lord and savior america, I have better things waiting for me! :wavey:
