DHK, Yes, I know Clarke Pinnock personally. He was teaching at McMaster, the seminary of the Baptist Convention. We had a lad who graduated from Toronto Baptist Semnary, who also went to McMaster and took on liberal teachings.

I personally think Clarke got mixed up with intellectualism ad this bent his theology. He doesn't even go to a Baptist Church now, and had some connections with the extreme charismatic group meeting out by the Toronto Airport.....they barked in meetings an even mooed like cows. What a change!

I am not familiar with the chap you mentioned, so I don't know from where he comes. I do know the people from certain fundamentalist schools do get grand ideas about other people. I taught at a rather liberal school and was labelled as liberal by some, even though I did stand tall for fundamental teachings of scripture. My old friend in the Fellowship Baptists called me liberal whilst my fellow professors at Queen's called me a fundamentalist. Sure kept the students on their toes, and I hope I influenced some of them over the years. They all treated me with respect and listened to my views.

It is interesting though how labels get kicked around. In this instance, however, you can see where the chap errored on Strong. He couldn't even get the author of the concordence correct.

    Cheers,

    Jim
