You haven't answered the question at all.

All you said is that you may be wrong.

That can be said of any opinion.

I am asking you how you can form an opinion on Just War when Jesus did not say anything either way on the subject?

Remeber that the standard that you set for the rest of us is that "Jesus did not advocate war."

So if "Jesus did not advocate war." how can you conclude that there are just wars (whether you are right or wrong) without violating your own standard?

You have not addressed this pickle even once. :tongue3:

Sorry my friend, those are all the answers, and they are there several times.

After all I have answers numerous times and you have avoided almost every question I have asked ... numerous times on the one below.

So, educate me with an answer ....................

Now, tell me what war or wars you feel were justified.

If you provided the answer several times then perhaps you could direct me to those posts by number.

Because I am just not seeing it.

Sorry, but I won't play that game. You have the ability to look them up.

Now, again, as I have answered your questions, please answer mine.

What wars to you consider just and which unjust?

You have not answered my question - as evidenced by your unwillingness to point out the relevant posts.

Everyone else here can see it too.

Then perhaps you can point out the post where he answered.

How does this reconcile Crabby's opposing statements:

    "Jesus did not advocate war."

"For instance I believe WW II was a just war."?

He is still trying to have it both ways.

If Jesus was against war, then there is no such thing as a just war.

    BINGO !!

Now get Crabby and Paul3144 to understand that.

I have been having no luck at all - no matter how I phrase it.

There's more in the Scriptures than just what Jesus said.

No one said Jesus was against all war. You're making things up and it shows a lack of honesty.

Crabby said over and over "Jesus didn't advocate war".

What did you think that he meant by it?

Do you actually read the posts to these threads that you start?

OK, sometimes you gots to do something even if it is wrong and settle it with God in the next life. I think WW2 after Pearl Harbor comes under that heading.

You need to go back to the other thread which you started and read the context in which he repeatedly said it.

You are just looking silly here.

Here is a link to a post which I addressed to you - perhaps it will jog your memory.

Actually Crabby was plainly stating that since Jesus didn't advocate war that He was against it. In fact, Crabby tried to use Matthew 5 to back this up. Then he turned around and advocated a just war theory. My point was, if Jesus is against war and taught against it, there is no such thing as a just war. In other words, you can't use Jesus to argue against war and then say some wars are ok.

You may well be right. I simply have a hard time concluding that WW II was unjust.

I assume you read my earlier post about WW I and the unjust peace that followed which setup the way that ended with Hitler?
