Yes, we are quite familiar with Mr. Anderson. He was banned from the BB a couple of years ago. Nut case.

    1) The way he used the word, it's profanity.
    2) The "excited utterance" that it's "his" church says *much* about how he views his position as "leader" of the church.

I also watched several related videos, concerning his being pulled over by the Border Patrol. While the Border Patrol and DPS overreacted in their response, this man also was combative and hostile; as a former security specialist, I would have taken his comments and refusal as "probable cause" to indicate he had something to hide.

Overall, I see this man as not fulfilling several scriptural requirements: praying for the death of our president (Romans 13); corrupt communications; and his temper and hostility (1 Tim 3).

I thank you for bringing this link to light. I actually had a link to this man's church on a portal website that I run; I have now removed it.

:tear:An embarrassment to all who are self identified as Independent Fundamental Baptists.:tear:

from their website: We are a local New Testament church reaching the Phoenix area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Don't expect anything contemporary or liberal. We are an old-fashioned, independent, fundamental, King James Bible only, soul-winning Baptist church.

Actually, I find nothing wrong with the description of their church; but you're right, the way the pastor acts is an embarrassment to those calling themselves IFB.

Sometime back Mr. Anderson was stopped at the border by border patrol and as is routinely required asked politely to pop his trunk for the usual inspection. He became argumentative, and in my opinion, arrogant and, also my opinion, rather confrontational to Border Patrol officers and the whole incident ended up with him being tased and roughed up.
(this is as best as I understood the issue, so if I'm misrepresenting anything or anyone, please correct me).
The guy is a nut case.

My first thought was on the phrase of "sould-winning" Now, I am all for soul winning - but that is only half of the commission. Jesus also commanded us to make disciples.

Clearly by their own website- they have no desire to make disciples. I see that as a major flaw of their "church".

ps- did you notice he is sporting a beard- someone tell Jack Hyles and company! (thats right - he disaproves of Bible Colleges)

About the disciple thing...I was on his board for a short time and they were all excited about how many souls they had won that weekend and I posted asking about whether they do any follow up with these people and if any of them come to his church and I was banned. I guess discipleship is evil?

How would you guys feel about the Pastor uttering any of the following from the Pulpit during his messages:

    'Pi__ed Off'

    'Panty w_ste'

    'Butth_le'

Sorry if those offend anyone here but these were part of several sermons at my last church (yet another reason I left). I don't understand how a prepared message needs to have such language in it. It seemed to me to be a lack of reverence for the house of God.

Perhaps it was shock value to appeal to some and/or hide the shallowness of the message. It's hard to listen when you're sitting thinking 'did he just say what I think he said?!!'

He's a nut, and his wife's blog/webpage is nutty too. Apparently, "family planning" is a sin and it's God's will for her to continually have babies, even if she's too sick to care for the ones she already has. Whatever. They have some loyal followers I've met on sites elsewhere, and they are very militant to anyone who dares disagree with ANYTHING about them. Very cult-like.

My friend from work sent this video to me. He laughs as he tells me of the other videos featuring this guy (yes, I remember he was on the BB a while ago). I just watched another titled "worst preacher ever. " I have to admit, I found myself laughing. Terrible, I know.

The sad thing is, this fella uses the pulpit as a platform for his own agenda.

He and his ilk (there are lots of them btw) are a reproach on the name of Jesus. Even the mention (I would not waste time looking at a video) of such conduct does not surprise me.

But such is the "Baptist" tree. Wide branches with lots of birds roosting . .

    Strange birds.

Well, a quick look at his website, and you see where their priorities are. The first thing is ....

"Over 2.6 million mp3 sermons have been downloaded from this site!"

And all this time, I thought the dodo bird was extinct.

Of course, if you subtract "pastor" Anderson's downloads of his own sermons, the number is "adjusted" to eleven. :D

He clearly is an unstable individual that is not at all called to the ministry

I heard of him before on youtube and have heard more than enough to know that he is not worth listening to in that he has his own agenda..
