For those of you who remember me, I'm back!=)

I had left a Southern Baptist church for a non-denom. I won't get into the reasons.

However, this new church was very, very large, and the more I attended the more "lost" I felt, in that you just get shuffled in the crowd. I'm positive those feelings would have subsided once I became involved in a small group.

However, what really disturbed me was the fact the messages never put forth a call to holiness. Sure, the pastors all preached that wherever you are in life, God has an answer for you, and that answer is Jesus. However, there was never a call to holy living. Kind of, don't mind what you did during the week, come on Sunday morning and all will be right.

I just felt a tremendous burden and calling to move my family back in the Baptistic direction. We are now attending a Conservative Baptist church (Pulpit Rock Church, www.pulpitrock.com) and are enjoying it immensely.

So, now that I am a Baptist again, I should be able to post, no problem. Right, Dr. Bob? ;)

Even the prodigal son had to stray to find home. Welcome back to the Baptist fold and may your witness be effective in leading baptists to that holiness of life you also seek. God bless,

    Cheers,

    Jim

Great to see you back Jason. Sounds like you experienced a watered-down gospel that you, correctly so, found wanting.
