We just got our power back on this afternoon. I didn't realize how dependent we are on electricity.
We lost electric from Katrina and stayed w/o for four days----there are other areas close by that were w/o for 3 weeks!!!
Glad to see you back, Terry!!!
We got 116mph wind from Katrina----200 miles inland!!! What'd ya'll get???
Welcome back, Terry!!
Welcome back, Terry. Glad you are safe.
Glad you are back and safe!
Well, the lights must be on and someone must be home!
I don't know you Terry but, glad your ok.
I am shocked that you were without power for so long, Terry.
You should have come out to my house.
We lost power for about 1/10th of a second when the storm first started and the lights flickered.
We did lose cable for several hours on Sunday though.
That was all we had out here.
Glad you're okay.
Happy for you, Im about 30 miles north of you, they tell us 2 to 3 weeks.
Welcome back Terry. I hope you were able to find little damage.I'm glad you are safe and well.
Glad the power is back on.
Thank you for these responses. We did not have any physical damage to our property, but we did not have electricity until Wednesday night. Because the temperature was so hot, we've stayed in motels for the past two days.
I'm glad to see you back, safe and sound, Terry!
Whew! I cannot imagine the smell!!! Then again, when those students got here from NO after Katrina, I immediately recognized the smell - hurricane water in the heat just has a peculiar smell to it.
Then again, so do we Texans when we stay out in the sun too long ...
I am glad you have AC back.
