The liberal media and Hillary Clinton want to fixate on Trump's foolish statements of 11 years ago, yet ignores her own crimes, her husband's own behaviors (Monica Lewinsky) and her stance on ISIS which is to spread the organization. Also she deleted 33,000 emails and DID NOT AND DOES NOT handle classified documents seriously despite her lies that she does.

Did you expect anything else. Kudos to Trump for being unafraid to debate the moderators and crooked Hillary. The fix is in. He knows it, but he keeps showing up.

With what crime has she been charged? Not crimes that the alt-right thinks she's guilty, but actually charged?

As an evangelist, I would think the last thing you need is to be associated with someone like Trump who doesn't believe he needs to ask for forgiveness.

I'm outraged that Christians think "Clinton did it too" is a defense. It seems we have forgotten that 2 wrongs don't make a right. Clinton was wrong, and Trump was wrong and neither one has anything to do with the other. What is also wrong is the hypocrisy of Christians who made a big deal about character in the 90s, suddenly being ok with sexual sins in 2016 in a presidential candidate as long as they have an R after their name.

As I saw on facebook, any comment about the tapes that contain the words "But Clinton..." is a defense of what Trump said. There is no defense for what he said so stop trying to give him one.

What is also galling about this for me,being the total antifeminist that I am, is the talking points that the right has handed to feminist to beat us over with for the next decade. Now I do not think for one moment that we live in a rape culture society, but if men really do brag about sexual assault in the locker room (never mind the fact that Trump was not in a locker room at the time) and Christian men are ok with it, giving it a collective shrug when they hear it, well then maybe there is a seed of truth in the idea of rape culture.

Both candidates seem to be very immoral people. Look at the platforms and make a decision.

They have been focused on all of Mr. Trump's bizarre statements for this entire election cycle, his accusations regarding Obama's birth certificate, his public feuds with a number of people for years before, including a number of women where he made all kinds of ugly comments about appearance, etc.

    They have not been ignored.

To use your argument, why is Trump focusing on behavior from 20 years ago? (NOTE: 20 years is nearly twice as long ago as 11 years.) If Trump's words/actions are irrelevant, then certainly Bill and Hillary Clinton's words/actions from 20 years ago should be irrelevant.

Really? Did she release a position paper or say this in a speech, or are you just making things up?

Yes, that's a real issue. The media has been talking about it quite a bit.

I'm outraged at the spin that Trump supporters are putting on his comments.
    -----

MCCORMACK: But beyond the language, would you characterize the behavior described in that as sexual assault, if that behavior actually took place?

SESSIONS: I don't characterize that as sexual assault. I think that's a stretch. I don't know what he meant —

MCCORMACK: So if you grab a woman by the genitals, that's not sexual assault?

    SESSIONS: I don't know.

Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer responded to the same question: "I don't know. I'm not a lawyer."

Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, "I think it's kind of pointless to talk about hypotheticals."

Newsflash--The objection isn't that Donald Trump talks about it, it's that he participates in it.

You know ITL and blessedwife, the more I read this board and hear the things that Christians are saying on Facebook in defense of this man's wickedness, or in their continued buffoonery of acting like they suddenly don't know what sexual assault is, the more I understand why the country is really where it is.

Pornography. Gambling. Adultery.Lying. Stealing.Rape. Sexual Assault. And on and on and on.

Christians have essentially said that none of it means anything.

But then we want to have the brandished boldness to say to the homosexual that they are living a sinful lifestyle from which they need to repent; to make a fuss over them getting married; and to complain about all the innocent life lost through abortion.

It all says to me that any Christian who is still supporting that vile, wicked man can't be very concerned about having a Christian witness from which to share Christ.

The objection is that the left's candidate does and approves of the same thing. That is the very definition of "double standard."

The double standard is Christians shouting Character matters in the 90s when it was Democrat who was wrong, but defending sexual immorality when it's a Republican who did wrong.

Any deflection back to Clinton or the left is defense pure and simple. It should not be hard to say that Trump was wrong to brag about assaulting women. Clinton was wrong to assult women. Neither of those wrongs cancels the other one.

Well my objection is Christian defending this kind of talk. I was not shocked at all that Trump said what he did, but even I have been shocked to the degree Christians have defended him.

Since Trump supporters love to compare him to King David I think if this was ancient Israel Trump supporters would be ready to tar and feather Nathan for pointing out David's sin instead of rejoicing that David was called to Repentance.

    Defenses I have seen:
    It's just locker room talk.
He wasn't even in a locker room.

    It was a private conversation.
If you have a Microphone on its not private.
    2. It doesn't matter as sin is sin regardless of how public it is.

    Everyone says stuff like that:
    1. No not everyone does
    2. Way to prove feminist talking points

    Clinton...
    2 wrongs don't make a right

    That was 11 years ago
True, but just last week Trump was telling people to watch sex tapes to attack another woman. His low view of women has been on full display the entire campaign.

Women that are out raged had to put down 50 shades.
This women did not, but even if that is true that still does not make it OK

The left is OK with it when it's their own people
True, so how are you different from the left in this regards?

    It's just bragging
I would assume guys would brag about how girls can't resist them, not that they had to assult a girl.

I could go on with all the poor Defenses I have seen all from people that claim to be Christians. The world had taken note and it is going to take a long time for the American Church to recover.

There is indeed bw318 and has been with us for a long time

    2 Peter 2
    12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
    13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

Personally, I am going to accept DT's apology for his sin of 11 years ago as an act of repentance.

Pure foolishness looking for a way to justify that man's wickedness.

A repentant man doesn't go from "I'm sorry that's not who I am" to trying to make his wickedness seem less in comparison to someone else's.

That ain't repentance. That's telling folks what you think they want to hear while still not grasping the gravity of what you did wrong.

What he said is the classic telltale sign of someone who is NOT sorry and not apologetic and you know this.

And here you and others sit STILL trying to justify it.

I'd say unbelievable, but I truly realize that there's a whole bunch of you who simply don't care.

Exactly. And to then have this man give an empty apology where he moves from what he did to comparing it to what someone else did. That is NOT an apology and certainly isn't a sign of repentance.

Even at the debate he was trying to pass it off as just "locker room" talk as if the location would make it more acceptable.

And Christians are continuing to act like it's just nothing. Everyone does it.

Well not where I'm from. I wonder how many would be okay with their wives or daughters or mothers or sisters being treated like that?

I've expected Trump to showcase who he really is and he hasn't failed.

It's the Christians who continue to make excuses for him who are completely appalling! I have NEVER been so disgusted in all my life.
