I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of our cable tv

    That's what I said. Whomever is your TV company, they must subscribe to the networks and programming they provide—good and bad, and you're supporting the bad as well as the good.

    Paying for TV (and Disney) ain't like buying food or natural gas or heating oil. It's a completely non-essential use of God-given resources for the purchase of pleasure, and pleasure alone (CNN and FOX notwithstanding). My question for you at this point would be, are a lover of pleasure more than a lover of God?

    What you're weary of is the cost of discipleship, not the efforts of those who educate others on the agendas and campaigns promoted and financed by their voluntary patronization of pay TV (or any other enterprise for that matter.)

    But, who cares what you think? It's the facts that matter, and here's the cold, hard fact. Whether or not you watch it, if you're paying for TV, you're still financing the programming you deem destructive and anti-Christian.

    Now, how about letting those who are evaluating it consider that fact without your cavils?
