The bottom line is that some are opposed to the Bible statements on the Commandments of God so they resort to "gaming" the texts.

Rom 8

5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the Law of God, for it is not even able to do so,
8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

According to Romans 8 and Romans 6 - the saint can choose to obey the Word of God - or be in rebellion against it - and lose salvation.

1 John 5
"Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:1-3
Rev 14:12 "here is the perseverance of the SAINTS here are they that KEEP the Commandments of God AND their faith in Jesus"

The cotton-candy-fluff gaming of the texts above that insist that the saints be sinless before we can believe the Bible on the points listed does not even work for Baptists when they are telling Catholics that the 2nd commandment must be valid and must be obeyed.

And we all know it.

So obvious infact that these points are not lost on a number of Baptists so that they do not engage in pointless gaming or whining or complaining about these texts and these observance details in well known Sunday keeping source documents (Emphasis for DHK to note the detail so often skipped over each time I mention it) such as the "Baptist Confession of Faith" section 19 or the "Westminster Confession of Faith" Section 19 or in D.L. Moody's online sermon on the TEN Commandments - in his 4th Commandment section. Nor will you find the Seventh-day Baptists complaining about these texts - nor the Messianic Jewish groups I have personally visited, nor R.C Sproul.

This is the bottom line:

You still haven't addressed the question.

Actually it is here - this is what the Bible actually says.

Rev 14:12 "here is the perseverance of the SAINTS here are they that KEEP the Commandments of God AND their faith in Jesus"

Which leaves us with this observation -

The cotton-candy-fluff gaming of the texts above that insist that the saints be sinless before we can believe the Bible on the points listed does not even work for Baptists when they are telling Catholics that the 2nd commandment must be valid and must be obeyed.

And we all know it.

More copy and paste of the same old post Bob?
We tire of it. When are you going to answer questions asked of you:

The Bible also teaches that no man can keep all the law.
I ask Bob therefore, "When did you lose your salvation?"

You still haven't addressed the question.

All you have to do is come up with an answer that works - a solution for the Bible points listed and the arguments stated - rather than ducking and dodging them in a way that indicates you have no answer.

As long as that post stumps your argument - you will probably see it coming back from time to time.

Your argument only survives by "ignoring the details" that disprove it -- so it is little wonder that you wish those "details" would simply not appear -

We can all see that.

So that post is still waiting to be responded to in some compelling manner.

How did you not expect this point to be incredibly obvious??

The Bible says the SAINTs can keep the Law and the wicked cannot.

Rev 14:12 "here is the perseverance of the SAINTS here are they that KEEP the Commandments of God AND their faith in Jesus"

You came back with the less-than-compelling idea that the Bible is wrong and that by "quoting you" you can find where the Bible says the saints cannot keep the Law of God, cannot obey what Jesus calls "the Word of God".

How did you expect that to fly??

By "circling back" to the lost - and showing that the lost cannot keep the Law of God????

in Christ,

Bob

I have explained it all before Bob, many times over.
It is your turn.

The Bible also teaches that no man can keep all the law.
I ask Bob therefore, "When did you lose your salvation?"

You still haven't addressed the question.
