It seems to me that, for the most part, the experience is bad experience. He hasn't picked people who have had significant success in these areas.

Typical right-wing talking point. Considering how terrible the experienced people turned out to be in the current administration right-wingers have no credibility in discussing the incoming cabinet which hasn't even taken office yet.

I don't read talking points so if there is another smart person out there, good for them. Blaming the present administration won't help change the facts. That seems like denial

The fact is that Obama promised change and the only thing he is changing is the positions he campaigned on.

The fact is that this article says Obama is embracing experience (see opening line), and yet the only experience he has embraced is experience that has been wrong on the issues, or experience of failure rather than success.

Ken, to ignore the obvious is hardly a good move. These choices may turn out to be good. But the fact remains that they are not bright shining lights in the areas that they are being selected to serve in. Overall, they have a pretty dismal career record so far.

They will certainly be an improvement over what we have had in these positions for the past 8 years, except for Secretary Gates who has done an admirable job in difficult circumstances.
