Did God create the universe in 6-24 hr days? Or do some scientist who say Billlions upon Billions of years pull weight?

I hold to the position of an Old Earth and Older Universe. The science, mathematics and evidence I believe supports such. Do I believe that God "could have" created in what we define as 6- 24 hour days.....certainly. He is omnipotent and could have created instantaneously. I also fall somewhere in the realm of evolutionary creation/intelligent design realm.

Pardon my typo of using the word "realm" incorrectly. Perhaps better stated.

I land somewhere within the framework of evolutionary creation(aka theistic evolution) and intelligent design.

Does that answer your "what the what"?

Mr 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Jesus held to the position that the creation of Adam and Eve occurred at "the beginning" of creation" (Mt. 19:6). In the evolutionary or "old earth" scheme of things the sixth day can hardly be viewed from their model to be at "the beginning of creation" but rather millions if not billions of years AFTER the beginning of creation. In contrast the sixth day can be viewed that way since seven 24 hour days in comparison with the time between Genesis 2 and Christ is at "the beginning" literally of this world.

Of course Jesus never went to College or a university or had a PhD. in Science. Of course we know PhD.'s in science are never wrong!

For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
    Exodus 20:11 KJV

    I'm good with that.

What did Jesus and His Apostles state on the matter?

Their views are inspired and trustworthy!

    I'm not sure.

If God chose to create all of this in one day He could and we wouldn't know the difference. However, the nature of the Genesis creation passages lends itself to considering, realistically, that there are several legitimate views of this.

That said, I tend to lean towards 6 days but am open to considering other options. It isn't a question of God could but did God actually create in 6 days.
