    Blessings to you all!

Been thinking of Yeshua's(Jesus') words in Matthew 24 and Luke 17.

    Matthew 24:37
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

What struck me was the notion that whatever was happening in Noah's day would be happening just prior to Messiah's return. Sure people were eating and drinking, etc... but the elephant in the room is this huge ark Noah was building. In the days of Noah prior to the flood the entire world witnessed this massive structure as a sign of God's soon coming judgement and redemption.

Today we see people eating, drinking and carrying on just as people did in Noah's time. But what is the ark in our time that the entire world is seeing Yeshua construct before their very eyes? I believe the Ark is a type of the Body coming together in complete echad unity. Jews and Gentiles together in unity and love in each region is as much a God given sign to the last generation as Noah's Ark was. And Noah built his structure out of fear...fear of what was coming. Shouldn't we through this same fear work feverishly on the task of coming together? "So the world might" know Yeshua is Lord?

    jimraobin,

Years ago Dr. M.R. Dehaan, the father of the Dehaan who is on television in our times, used the Ark as an example of our security in Christ. If I recall correctly in Genesis it say, that God closed the door to the ark. When we unashamedly and faithfully believe in Christ as our Savior He shuts the door and we are in the ark of safety.

I am grateful to the Messianic Jews, one in particular, who confirmed some particular issue about the coming Millennial Kingdom. What I am saying is that Israelites and Gentile Christians should compliment each other as we might be working in different areas of ministry.

    Hi Ray,

You are completely correct. We share the same hope...the same promise...the same faith and should extend the same love towards each other whether Jews or Gentiles.

    Brother,
The ark did not symbolize unity among nations. You are confusing this with the tower of Babel for which God confused the tongues of men.

Genesis 6;13-And God said unto Noah,The end of all flesh is com before me;for the earth is filled with violence through them;and behold,I will destroy them with the earth.

Noah was the last of the pre-Flood patriarchs and the builder of the ark that survived the great Flood. He was 600 years old when the Flood began and lived to be 950 years of age.He is described in the Bible as a righteous man (verse 9) and a man of obedience (v 22) and faith (Heb.11;7).

God told Noah to be an ark because he was going to destroy every living thing. The people would not take heed to the Word of God.

Verse 12-And God looked upon the earth and behold,it was corrupt;for all flesh had corrupted his way.

Genesis 7;1-And the Lord said unto Noah,Come thou and all thy house into the ark;for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

You could also look at Sodom.Genesis 19;15-17.
The city was destroyed by fire, because of all the wickedness, and corruption.
We are living in those days right now. People will not hear the Word of God.

    God Bless.

Dear Elder Fred Wilson, is this a typo? God did tell Noah to build an ark, but not to be an ark. How does Noah become an ark only then to be told by God to enter into the ark?

I assume this is a typo, if that assumption is in error, let me know.
