    Auburn 28, Alabama 27.

(At one point, Alabama was up 21-0. And two fumbles in likely touchdown scenarios, plus a dropped touchdown pass, could've had AL up by 30-40!)

Wow. Alabama didn't put Auburn away. And if there was ever a team you can't leave a door open for, it's this year's Tigers. They can make basketball-type scoring runs.

As for the Tide--the critical mistakes, clock management, and subsitution penalties (what...4 of them?) made Alabama look like Les Myles was flown in to coach.

But hand it to Auburn--no quit in that bunch. Newton wasn't great...but he was good enough when he had to be.

So...hopefully Auburn won't overlook the Ol' Ball Coach. If they take care of business, I'm highly confident we'll keep the National Championship in the right state. :D :D I don't see the ducks hanging with Auburn at all. They're not even the best team in their conference...and I think Auburn will run all over them. (of course, I'm assuming Oregon will beat Oregon State...which should happen...but this is the Pac-10).

Anyhow...good Iron Bowl game this year. Very entertaining.

I think Auburn wanted it much worse than Alabama and it turned the "Tide."

    Sorry I missed this thread.

We belong to our local Auburn Alumni Chapter, so we had about thirty people over to watch it.

Undefeated is nice. Championships are nice. Beating Bama is something you savor for a lifetime.

    War Eagle!
