What's this got to do with Israel? Is it surprising that Europeans most often win a European prize?

    Hmmm...
    Not exactly an Israeli.

    "enlightening," um, in what way?

sorry, but ur point being the following?

1 Corinthians 1:26 (New International Version)

26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.

Worthless? It comes with a big chunk of money, a gold medal, a place in history and a lot of prestige. If you don't want yours, I'll take it!

Prestige? The only prestige that comes with it is that of an ungodly world. I would have to sell my soul to Satan to be able to accept that piece of junk. How in the world could a terrorist like Yassar Arafat be given a "Peace Prize"?

    Isa 5:20
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Not to hijack the thread, but the Anti-Christ will probably win the Nobel Peace Prize one day.

Back to the OP: Jews and Americans have made the most contributions in all areas of science, medicine, literature, and technology than any other group in the world in the past 100 years. Even 50 years. Jews are hated all over the world, but the historical facts document that Jews have given the civilized world the majority of benefits we all enjoy in our daily lives this very day. The same cannnot be said for the groups who hate the Jews and want to exterminate them.

    Daisy,

Would you mind pointing out which ones are not Jewish since I do not know and you obviously do.

    Thank you in advance.

    thjplgvp,

You titled your thread "Interesting stat on Israel", but the vast majority of those on your list are simply not Israeli, but European.

Jewish and Israeli are not synonymous as there are more Jews who are not Israeli than are and there are Israelis who are not.

Since you posted this list, why do you think that European Jews are so heavily represented in the fields of science? Do you have any opinion on your own thread?

    Daisy,

Like many I do not differentiate between the countries that Jews live in and Israel. The Jews are God's people regardless of what country they are residents of. I realize they may be citizens of say America, or Britain, or Germany etc. but they are still Jews which makes them Israelies in my book, which is not the final writing  .

Perhaps I should have titled it 'interesting stat on Jews'? None-the-less I found it interesting that so many Jews have been accorded national recognition by a world that by and large does not want them around. This in my opinion is another proof of Gods intent that Israel should be the center of world affairs in the end times.

the most interesting thing abt this is the question it begs: what makes a true Jew?

hmm, one circumcised in the flesh or of the heart?

one defined by the Pharisees or by Jesus?

yes, "all Israel will be saved" someday, but there's no need to jump the gun, IMO.
