But if we are really, really nice and we work to understand their culture, maybe they will be really nice in return.

Only have nukes if you are willing to have a few thousand pointed at you. I see no benefit, only mutual assured destruction.

An attack with nukes on American interests anywhere in the world by such a country would be met with an all out retaliatory response against that country from your President.

We're the good guys Cross Man. Everybody else is the bad guys Bro.

I disagree kubel. I think MAD has saved many millions from futile wars. An example today is India and Pakistan who have at last reached the position where they must not fight each other again.

Israel will move at the right time, I'm sure, if they see Iran closing on nukes. 8)

We are the good guys, everybody else is the bad guys.

MAD will not happen, according to prophecy U.S. will not be able to retaliate.

    Isa. 47:11b NIV
.....a catastrophe you cannot foresee will suddenly come upon you.

    Jer. 50:24
I set a trap for you, O Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it; you were found and captured because you opposed the LORD.

The scenario of Iran or Russia using a merchant ship to launch a EMP bomb fits in perfectly with us being caught in a "trap".

We have ships and submarines with nuclear missiles but I'm sure Russia will know of their whereabouts and destroy them just before our destruction. To accomplish a highly complex military operation of this sort, Iran would need inside help like happened with 9-11.

Russia recently conducted a flight test of a new warhead that can change course in midflight, which U.S. and Russian officials are calling part of Moscow's efforts to defeat U.S. missile defenses.
The warhead was tested Nov. 1 and tracked by U.S. intelligence technical monitors, including satellites, the officials said.
An analysis of the flight test by U.S. intelligence agencies revealed that it was a further test of a maneuverable warhead that Moscow has been developing for several years in response to U.S. missile defenses.

A nuclear electromagnetic pulse attack is feasible.

PN, it is China that has them.

Strange, when I brought up this topic a few months back, everyone pooh-poohed it. I'll see if I can find the thread.

I'm sure China has EMP bombs, the technology was possibly given to them during the Clinton administration. Although I don't see China specifically mentioned in Scripture as coming against us, I think they probably will. Several Scriptures allude to this probability.

    Jer. 50:9
An "alliance of great nations from the land of the north" may include China.

    50:29
    Archers encamping all around us.

    51:1
Our enemies oppose us on every side on the day of our diaster.

    From first link:

"if Russia really wanted to (destroy us) without fear of retaliation, Russia would launch a missile against us from a submarine, explode it high over our skies and shut down our power grid and communications for six months."

The writing is on the wall, Daniel.

I think that the "without fear of retaliation" is quite a leap of assumption. That a country could launch such a devastating attack on our country without a response? Our military has long known about EMP and has "hardened" (the measures taken to protect against EMP) much of its electronics, though I believe that such hardening isn't as thorough as it once was.
