Could very well be Bunyon, but that doesn't excuse misleading (lying? the jury is still out on that but the evidence is still piling up and it isn't favorable to to the Bush/Blair/neocon regime) the public into a war against a sovereign nation that posed no imminent threat to us as Mr. Rumsfeld told us. He said that, yep he did, he used those very words (imminent threat) when describing Saddam's regime. I think it was on Face The Nation that he was confronted with that lie. I loved his reaction too. Wha wha wha well. [IMG]

Not long. I am surprised that you have not heard of Ken Adelman, but maybe you were too young to be politically aware during the Reagan administration:

Well, I know who Ken Adelman is, and he was right. Re-read his words. "demolishing Hussein's military power and liberating Iraq" WAS a cakewalk. We walked all over the Iraqi military during the invasion, and Saddam is in custody. Holding it and transforming it into a democratic society is not, has not, and was not predicted to be a cakewalk.

    Ken,

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Give me a Churchill (or Adelman) over a Chamberlain anyday, when confronted with evil.

I'd rather have a General Robert E. Lee at this point. ;)
