Here is an interesting article a friend of mine e-mailed to me today. I admit, I haven't had time to read it all as I am about to go to bed, but here is a tidbit that I found interesting on the first page of the article:

No, the lesson is "Don't go there without clear objectives and an exit strategy".

The U.S. has an exit strategy and always has.

Heck, the U.S has changed it's entrance strategy several times: neuclear bomb, mushroom cloud in 45 minutes, overthrow Hussein, establish a democracy, etc, etc, etc.

So what is the exit strategy? Win, get oil contracts and leave in [six months|two years|twelve years|fifty years|as long as it takes (indefinite)]?

The exit strategy has never changed. Help them form their own government , train enough Iraqis to provide security and come home.

It's not complicated and it has never was.

Let’s hear your cleaver ideas about the War in Iraq, since you see nothing positive in our ability as a country to be successful.

Where is it written that there has to be a timetable for an exit strategy to be valid?

The timetable is when the job is done and that's what it has always been. It has never changed.

Enoch, who says my ideas are clever?

That's an outright lie, Enoch. Shame on you. Our country has been wildly successful in many endeavors, but this war was unnecessary as well as badly conducted.

One lesson that was taught, was that America could no longer win a war on our own. It isn't based on reality but it serves the one worlders well enough to keep grabbing more of our resources and sovereignty as an independent nation to serve their other purposes.

This nation will lose in Iraq bacause of one reason. We are wrong. UnGodly wickedness and sin lead our "leaders" there in the first place and it was based on LIES and DECEIT. It has cost the lives of tens of thousands and it should be condemned by "conservative" christians just as loudly as they "condemned" Clinton and his lies.

It is clear that the Democrats are preparing to run next year and again in 2008 on surrender in Iraq just as they forced a surrender in Viet Nam and in Korea. The Democrats are about personal power not about what is best for the USA.

You hope. </font>[/QUOTE]I hope God spares this nation from complete and utter destruction for it's wickedness and opens the eyes of blind partisan nationalists like yourself and has you start to look at this from a biblical perspective instead of your party's politics. That's what I hope.

I doubt that God favors one "nation" over another for He will destroy all of them in His own time.
