    I did not say that. Your wife said that. I said he is not beholden to the (entrenched) GOP ("leadership").

    I assumed you were capable of understanding sarcasm. My mistake.

    Because different words mean different things.

    It's not difficult.

    Well, the easiest way would be to look the two words up in a good dictionary.

    adjective

    beholden
    adjective
    1. obligated; indebted.
