Is an undergrad degree in Bible/theology/religion a good idea?

I have concluded that it doesn't matter. A person who is willing to work hard and learn is employable no matter his degree. Any one wanting to pastor should plan on seminary (not distance learning but on site) and thus that minimizes the need for a particular kind of degree. Get a degree in history, public speaking, humanities, literature, whatever. Then go to seminary to get your Bible and ministry training in conjunction with involvement in your local church.

We are in more agreement than disagreement.

If God tells you to major in religion/theology undergrad, do it.

If God tells you to major in business & then go to seminary, do it.

If God tells you to major in math................that's not God speaking.
