You did not...but if you read earlier on this thread...you might notice that one of the men over-heated and blew a fuse...making that unfortunate statement. i can appreciate getting excited about bible teaching...but maybe he was having a bad day:laugh::laugh:

Jonathan....have you considered that all human theology is from the mind of man ..as men try and understand God's revelation to us.
Also, if calvinism is the truth...would that mean that you and some of the other ones ..are the divisive ones???

Look...if you have sincere questions i will try and help you. Know in advance my answers will be from the reformed baptist perspective,,,so you will get what you ask for. i do not speak for all reformed baptists,,as I know many who could speak more eloquently than I can...I have some rough edges...but iron sharpens iron..so you can ask or question, or be critical as much as you desire.
That being said...if instead you come on an attack...I will deal with you as an enemy and not a brother...it's up to you..okay???

This is more what I was trying to get at in my original post...This is indeed a sad problem...Sometimes the pastors and some times the people are not prayed up before entering the assembly, and God will not be mocked.
Sometimes it reminds me of a pro athelete who competes and trains hard to make the team....but then does not strive to maintain a high level of training to be at the top of his game.
We have come to truth...but the truth must be obeyed and practiced.if people do not pray for the Pastor....and the pastor does not pray for himself and His people...both will fall in the ditch.

Have you ever been in a worship service and happened to look around and see people who are not eager to hear or receive truth???
    What's up with that??

My pastor says a prayer for himself and the congregation before every service.

I have no idea. Why are they even there?

Ive been reading the statistics on Churches that are growing in America (the RCC) & then Churches that are sliding (SBC) which led me to think, what if the Calvies all left the SBC & moved on over to the also sliding Reformed Baptists......how would you feel then..... what do they represent (the Calvies) maybe 10 % ? would that effect the SBC bottom line to where it matters? Certainly, the RB's would be appreciative ...LOL

Anyway, here is a little history lesson on growth of the Calvinistic Baptists in the US in the 17th & 18th Centuries I found on line FYI.

Well Ive been thinking about that .... Perhaps it is Pietism. They are more interested in personal experiences than biblical doctrine. Even the warmest spirituality cannot be sustained without a solid basis in theology. This probably spons a post-conservative movement that transcends historical orthodoxy (you see it when the confessions are criticized). I believe that is called Post Modernism.

So you do not have definitive proof but you lash out at the guy?!? How do you know for sure..... could it have been a moderator picked up on it by reviewing the thread, or perhaps someone else who got bent out of shape by your tirade. What your doing is slandering a brother. Do you think thats the smart thing to do?

Conversely I can tell you to take your lumps like a man & stop your whining. Right.

    Besides that:

Why don't you let Lucina fight her own battles?

And, if you dont believe me, just ask Lucina if she reported me.
