Jesus Christ remains the standard for true morality as He is the standard for Truth.

In another thread, it was said about President Obama:
THIS IS NOT A THREAD ABOUT PRESIDENT OBAMA OR MITT ROMNEY!!!

So is it more immoral to commit the "pet sins" of the church or to reject Jesus Christ completely?

There is no pardon for a person who dies in unbelief.

This has the appearance of being agenda-driven.

If the slaughter of the unborn children who are ripped apart limb by limb or sometimes burned through the use of chemicals to death is a pet sin of the church then I am guilty.

We need more people standing up for unborn children and against the slaughter of unborn children in the womb.

Demoting this holocaust to nothing more than a "pet sin" only goes to show the callousness of those who call themselves Christians. What kind of sinful condition has the church fallen into when Christians have grown so callous.

May the Lord revive the church and may Christians repent of their callousness.

That's just an all around silly comment because it's no more agenda driven than Black Pastor: Obama is the “Most Immoral President We’ve Ever Had”.

So when you start calling those threads agenda driven too...

Yes you are as that seems to bother you more than folks rejecting Christ.

    Stand up for Christ.

In relation to the OP, "pet sin" is the appropriate term because folks go on and on about abortion, homosexuality, etc because it's the worst of the worst to THEM. To say that what person is the most immoral while throwing support to someone who completely rejects Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior remains the utmost of hypocrisy.

It continues to highlight how many folks use these issues for political fodder that has nothing to do with morality or Christ at all.

So yes in terms of folks rejecting Christ and going to hell for all eternity, your pet sin holocaust is demoted.

 Funny when your callousness is CONSTANTLY on display for anything that doesn't meet your politcal position.

True callousness is the people of God not being able to show true love for anyone who doesn't hold their political position.

Now throw your own callousness and refusal to repent in there first and there's a good starting point for the church.

Zaac you are building up a strawman to start a fight. This forum should never be about that.

I don't know anything about any strawmen. But I do know that CHRISTIANS need to stop talking about the immorality of the current President while refusing to repent of supporting someone who completely rejects Christ.

I made the same comment back then. Upon what grounds do we take a stance against the President's immorality when the world saw many in the church push for President a man, who by nature of his rejection of Jesus Christ, is completely immoral and on the way to hell?

The hypocrisy is startling to say the least

I'm only a fighter when there's an obvious case of wrong by the folks who should know better, but who continue to try and hide our wrong behind the guise of concern about issues rather than people.

Rolf, you seem to have learned Zaac is not here for debate.

And this thread isn't about Obama. Just those who talk about him.

Oh I am for people alright. I am for the "people" that are being slaughtered in the womb, limb by limb and sometimes burned with chemicals until dead. Those are the "people" I am for.

Again, stop being silly. Every thread that's started is started with an agenda.

Yes we all know that you're so much for those folks that your love for them flows over into how you treat those who have already been born.

Classic case of politics run amok that ain't got nothing to do with Jesus. If you truly have concern for the unborn, then express the same kind of concern and love for the born.

Or you and those who act like you can continue to show that your concern ain't got squat to do with Jesus but everything to do with your politics.

I guess hypocrisy is contagious. First you say the thread is not about Obama/Romney and then you say it is all about Obama/Romney.

It was pretty clear in the last election that neither candidate was a Christian, so it didn't matter which person we voted for in this respect.

But we could go to the next level. It was far more likely that Romney would support the pro-life movement and pro-life SC justices. Romney would have been more supportive of conservative views.

I didn't like that Romney was a Mormon, but he was still a better pick than Obama.

It's not about Obama/Romney. They were just used to show the hypocrisy of calling one man immoral while pulling for a man who completely rejects Christ.

So is it immoral to reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?

Sure it's immoral to reject Jesus Christ, although Romney would tell you that he does not reject Christ, he just understands him differently than you do.

Obama gives Jesus lip service only, he has always been very open about his support for abortion and homosexuality. So, his Christianity is lip service only.
