    i'll be blunt and go straight to the question and will explain after some posts are made.


    is it wrong just to tell a kid not to steal?

    would you rather say:

    "it is wrong to steal"

    or

    "Jesus said it is wrong to steal"

    ??

    what im getting at here is this:

    are we to teach morals alone or are we to teach Jesus alongside with the morals.

    that is the question. the ultimate issue with christianity is the Authority of Jesus Christ.

    any thoughts on the matter?

    I think that a christian should base their life standards on what God's word says. Tell the kid that it is wrong to steal; explain to him/her why you think it is wrong then show him/her what the Bible says about it.

    Dr. Dobson said that cildren that are too young to understand moreals and ethics shouldn't have to be given a reason, but what about the ADD/ADHD/ or AUTSTIC child?
