The main subject of the Bible is the kingdom which God intends to give to His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will be crowned "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS," according to Revelation 19:16. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says, "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?" Unlike the modern versions, the KJV was translated under a king. In fact, the king's name was "James," which is the English word for "Jacob," whom God renamed "Israel," because he had power with God and with men (Gen. 32:28).

The new versions have been translated in America, which is not a monarchy. God's form of government is a theocratic monarchy, not a democracy. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that His word would be translated for the English speaking people under a monarchy with an English king. I know the King James Bible is the word of God because it was translated under a king.

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] Ah, ya gotta love KJV-onlyism exegesis. At least this forum is entertaining, that's the only reason I stick around.

To me it's not funny it's sad to see so many questioning God's word the KJV.

You're right. I'm sad for those living in 1610 who didn't even have God's word to question in the first place. :( :( :( [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

We're not laughing at God's Word, we're laughing at the ego of someone who would equate his own goofiness with God's Word.

    I mean, you gotta laugh.

    I'm offended when somebody questions
    God's word the nKJV.

BrianT: "Ah, ya gotta love KJV-onlyism exegesis."

Amen, Brother BrianT -- Preach it!
As a Baptist I don't see much dancing.
But with a KJV-onlyist about, you get to
what them dance around the issues [IMG]

KING JAMES AV 1611: //The word "devils" ...
    is not in the NKJV!//

"Demon" is used instead of "devil".
    I don't have the same dictionary(ies)
    you have. My dictionary says:

    DEMON -- 1. devil

The difference between the two terms is
insignifance. The nKJV is the inerrant
written word of God which God has
preserved for our time: the last of the
last days. The nKJV is perfect!
    Praise Jesus!

Amen, Brother Elder Ed -- Preach it!

King James AV 1611: //in order to
    "harmonize" wilth the satanic New
Age Movement ... the NKJV changes
"end of the world" to "end of the age".

    The nKJV reads much better.
    The nKJV squelches the a-millinnium
errorists whose proof text is Matthew 24:3.
    From 325AD to 1611AD the a-mill error
dominated the Christian world. The 1611
    Anglicans who translated the KJV
perpetuated the a-mill myth that the WORLD
would end when Jesus comes again.
Only the age will end when Jesus comes.
The church age will end when Jesus comes
to get the church age, mostly gentile,
    born-again, saved, redeemed Christian saints
    before the Tribualtion period.
The translators of the nKJV (including
    the Baptists) support my
doctrine by using "age" instead of "world".

BTW, the nKJV translators came NOT out of
the New Age movement but out of the
KJVO movement. Seems the KJVOs wanted
    an English translation of the
TR (Textus Receptus). The nKJV translators
provided what the KJVOs asked for.
The KJVOs changed their tune ;)
Always seeking, never finding -- the KJVO
    movement [IMG]

The Baptist translated nKJV is superioer
to the Anglican translated KJV1611 and
supeior to the US Bible Salesmen translators
    of the KJV1873 [IMG]

Go for the perfect written word of God
    preserved for our generation:
the New King James Version (nKJV)!!!!!!

    No, but we can
have fun with the thumb wrestling [IMG] [IMG]

And the KJVOs arguments are so generic
we can always use them right back for
    our favorite English version [IMG]
