How can you say this? a second Adam? give me a break! He existed before Adam was ever created. He is God, Lord and king of kings, please do not refer to My Lord and saviour as a "second Adam"

Mathew, "second Adam" is how Jesus is referred to in the Bible. Before you take offense, maybe you would be so kind as to look into it. All that you have stated I agree with by the way. Of course God always was...nevertheless...When he was put on this earth as a human it was after the first Adam. Who was also sinless and created by God. (untill he decieded to sin that is by disobeying God...and that is where all of our troubles started)

Take a chill pill will 'ya...Good grief. [IMG]

Matthew 16:24 the poster: // ... please do not refer

Take it up with our Lord and Savior:
    Messiah Yeshua:

    1 Corinthians 15:45-47 (KJV1873):

And so it is written, The first man Adam
was made a living soul; the last Adam
    was made a quickening spirit
    .
46 Howbeit that was not first which
    is spiritual, but that which is natural;
and afterward that which is spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth,
earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

BTW, No thanks on the chill pill, I will always stick up for my Lord (even if I am wrong at the time).

    [IMG] Your appology is accepted.

As far as the chill pill comment... it was said in a joking manner... A bit of levity,a friendly pat on the back, to remind our brothers and sisters in Christ that we are all on the same side. [IMG]

Being calm when speaking to others is not contradictory to "sticking up for the Lord" it's a fruit of the spirit.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, goodness and self-control.... fruits of the spirit.

    Laurenda ;)

Although many are dogmatic about it, we cannot know with complete assurance who the "Lucifer" in this passage is. Certainly he is not Jesus, but whether he is Satan or the king of Babylon (or both) is not clear. We must keep in mind that the OT prophetic books often mock the grandiose claims of earthly kings as a kind of satire on their desire to be god-like. This passage could fit into that category. Also, the word "Lucifer" is Latin and comes into the KJV from the Vulgate. It was not the word originally used by Isaiah. If the passage refers to Satan, then perhaps his name was "Helel" (Hebrew for "light-bringer"), not Lucifer. I'm not denying that Satan is pictured here, only that we must allow for other interpretations.
