Yall forgive me for two Romney threads in the same day. :laugh:This one just needed to be separate. Interesting read.

I think it speaks powerfully to the type of worldwide influence the Mormon Church wants to have and Christendom is assisting in giving it that platform.

I'm sure there were. But this is specific to the Mormon Church.

I am wondering why the constant Romney attacks on religious and moral issues.

    1. Romney's morals more closely align with Christian values than Obama's.
    2. Mormonism, from a political and religious freedom standpoint, is by far more preferable to Obama's Islamic apologetics tour and his allowing Sharia to grow in influence in the US.

I disagree with with the Mormon Doctrine 100%, but I don't think they will have any more control over Romney that the RCC had over JFK.

Side bar which makes me mad at we Christians, from doing business with the Mormons, I have never had any problem with them, pay on time, treat you well and know how to speak to you and don't ask you to do what you can't do. I wish more Christians could learn that.

No more so than the Obama attacks on abortion and same sex marriage.

Romney rejects the Jesus Christ of the Bible thus he is 100% immoral and everything he does is for self-serving reasons as is the case with anyone who rejects Christ.

More preferable to you. Why aren't we rejecting both instead of deeming one to be more preferable?

Obama does not attack abortion or same sex marriage. If he did I would have something to agree with him on.

Obama is self serving and rejects Christ too. Yes, he claims to be a Christian but his actions and policies prove he is following another gospel. You should at least be consistent on this and treat both fairly.

We are not electing a religious leader. We are electing a political leader whose policies will impact our ability to preach the Gospel. Romney will uphold our nations founding principals and allow religious freedom, Obama has not and will not.

That was to parallel your phrasing. Romney doesn't attack religious and moral issues either.

    .

??? From my history on this board, it seems I'm one of few who is being consistent in my treatment of both. I summarily reject both of them as anti-Christs.

Then why bring up Romney's morals being more closely aligned with Christian values than Obama's? I mean if we're not electing a religious leader or a pastor, then every Romney supporter needs to stop throwing out religious issues.

Then deal with their differences on political issues since we're not electing a religious leader. You can't have it both ways.

You mean you think that he will. You don't know what Romney will do. The folks who got him elected in Massachusetts probably thought he'd uphold some stuff too.

Odd that one man is on record as professing his faith in the Jesus Christ of the Bible, even though nothing in his walk seems to display it, and the other is a known leader of a cult that rejects Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior yet Christians have placed some degree of trust in a man whose foundation is in opposition to Christ.

Speaks volumes as to why the country is where it is.

Apparently same sex marriage and abortion don't matter to some people.

    Or standing with Israel.

    Or freedom.

Or the spread of Sharia in our nation.

    Or bowing to allah.

    Or lying.

Or running our nation into bankruptcy.

All that matters to some people is whether or not said people consider Mitt Romney to be born again.

Of course, all of us can see into Mitt Romney's heart and know for certain with our x-ray eyes how everyone's relationship with God is. Of course. Of course we are to forget about inspecting fruits.

I think there will be a lot of surprises in heaven as to who will be there and who won't.

Not all who profess to be Baptists will be in heaven.

I vote on character, which entails considering religious and moral issues as well as political issues. This can, and should, be done while recognizing we are not electing a religious leader akin to the pope. Scripture tells us to pray for our leaders for the sake of the Gospel. If that is true, then I would suggest casting our vote is an extension of that ideal.

I have not seen you deal fairly with the two main candidates. You have attack after attack on Romney but barely a blip against Obama.

    Who are voting for?
Who do you suggest Christians vote for?
I ask, knowing that you have a right to secret ballot, because you seem content with attacking Romney and the people who may vote for him while not offering any real alternative. So, I would appreciate some transparency from you.

Some of them people wouldn't be me as I don't support anything to do with the current President.

And you need to stop right there. One would almost think that you are implying that Mitt Romney might be a Christian upon inspecting his "fruit".

Fruit results from the Holy Spirit. Don't author confusion about an imitating manifestation of satan to be on par with that which comes from the Holy Spirit. He worships a false god. He ain't manifesting fruit of the Spirit.

There sure will be a lot of surprises. But one of them will not be a man who worships a false god.

Zaac, your posts seem to indicate that you think we are all Biblical illiterates here or that none of us have a conscience or the witness of the Holy Spirit.

You have yet to offer the name of a candidate you would vote for even though it has been asked you several times.

Unlike some of the wicked kings of Israel in which the people had no vote, we do have a chance to vote, based upon the pros and cons of each candidate in the running.

Who will you vote for? Will you vote?

Then consider that Romney worships a false god and that all of his character is based in his deceitful foundation. Pray for his salvation.

    .

And as I have said, I don't have to say much about Obama. 95% of the board has got that covered already. But it's well known by those who listen that I don't support either one of the anti-Christs.

    Neither Romney nor Obama.

I don't have any problem telling who I will write in once it is decided. I could care less about a secret ballot. You see me attacking Romney. Have you said the same things about the 95% "attacking" Obama?

That's you again making an assumption and putting it forth as though it's my belief.

And as I have said many times in the past, I'll offer up a name when it is decided who I will write in. I wrote in Huckabee last time.

So vote in affirmation of Christ instead of that which is anti-Christ.

Already answered plenty of times in the past.

Already answered plenty of times in the past and you were in the threads. But as I've also said plenty of times in the past, the lot of you hear what you want to hear while ignoring what is really said. I guess some think that helps them make their point.

Did God reveal to you the perfect Christian candidate ?

Did he then tell you to keep it to yourself ?

He revealed to me that a house divided cannot stand. And there is no reason for His house to be divided over that which is against Him.

Not my question(s). Seems like you are the one doing the dividing. Saying everyone else is wrong but not willing to tell us what makes you right.

Has God revealed to you a perfect Christian candidate ?

Did he then tell you to keep it to yourself ?

Or are you just setting yourself up for being able to do the same anonymous berating after the election you are doing now ? That's what I think.

And this is what folks in the wrong like to do is talk about "what makes you right"? I ain't said nary a word about ME being right. God is right. And God ain't calling His people to support that which is against Him and goes against the very thing He left us here commissioned to do. That's the sort of confusion that is not authored of God.

I haven't asked Him to reveal to me a perfect Christian candidate as one isn't needed. Who the candidates are and who we are to support are two different things.

What I think is that you are one of those folks who like to ask questions and then answer them yourself.
