I was watching, too. You're right about the moderator.

Where did Rudy say he'd never heard of blowback?

I suggest you watch the debate video or read the debate transcript. I imagine they can be found on the web. But I don't have a URL handy.

    Edit: Found it for you:

    Just watched it.

No. He says he hasn't heard the "we invited 9/11" spiel, which of course, if you spend any time listening to Bill Maher or some others on the fringe, you hear that all the time. He never said he'd never heard of blowback.

I still blame Paul for making Rudy look credible. I believe Rudy would be no better than 5th if it hadn't been for that debate.

I wish I could find a written transcript. I had it at one point but now the link doesn't work.

Yes, he did. And Ron Paul whooped Guiliani in that debate.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on this. :)

The problem is that Ron Paul didn't say we invited 9/11, Rudy twisted Paul's words to play his 9/11 card. His entire campaign is based on, "Hey, I was mayor during 9/11/." Rudy's claim that he has never heard Ron Pauls logib before would mean that Rudy has had his head in the ground for the last six years because many people including the 9/11 Commission have explained Paul's argument and logic about why we were attacked on 9/11.

Well, I didn't hear him say it in the debate. I can't find a transcript. can you show one? Either he said it or he didn't. It's not like there's wiggle room

You're right that Paul never out and out said that. However, the intimation is there. (My kingdom for a transcript) :) The 9/11 Commission supported some of what Ron Paul said, but also said it was not in toto (we hashed that to death already). So neither Rudy nor Ron are 100% right according to the commission.

Rudy looks credible? Not even a little bit - Rudy is a one-issue candidate. Here's a fun game: any time you hear a soundbyte from Rudy, get out a pen and count how many references he makes to 9/11. If you can get the audio and take out the references to 9/11, you will find that he has absolutely nothing in the tank.

    Regards from DC,

Oh, I know. My claim to his credibility is to assuage Ken. He and I differ on Rudy's cred, too :)
