Which is more important, American politics or the furthering of the Kingdom of God? By closely allying with the Republican Party the Christian Right has done tremendous damage to Christ's Church. The Pharisees are in control of their churches and are spewing out political legalism to the unsaved. This completely turns off the lost just as Jesus himself was disgusted by the Pharisee's hypocrisy.

I won't use the term Christian left since the left has proven over the years that they are unChristian humanists. Obama, the tool of the Marxist Billionaires Club, is the poster boy of the humanist left, willing to do their bidding, to continue the destruction of this Constitutional Republic started by Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

IMHO far too many have already sold their souls to the Republican party and to the far right. Far too many churches that claim to be Christian are simply Republican outposts.

So, you are actually arguing that belonging to the Republican Party is preventing people from getting saved? And you believe if Christians would switch to the Demon-cratic party they would all come to Christ?

I fail to see how that would work, would you please explain?

The "Christian" left is just as politcally aligned with the democrats as anyone including all on this baord. To say otherwise would just be dishonest. They have sold out every slaughtered child for social justice.

My political affiliation does not rely on my theology, nor does my theology rely upon my political affiliation. I'm dismayed by those who equate religion to political affiliation. The religious right does not speak for either the religious or the right. Yet those who are religious and right-wing are often berated by the religious right for not being either religious enough or right wing enough.

If that is correct then you have sold out to the military-industrial complex and support the murder of innocent people for your social justice. Not very Christian of you.

You would do well to heed your own advice.

I wonder if you were that concerned when only the leftist churches? were dominating the political scene as in the 1960's and 70"s?

Actually talking about true Christians selling their souls is stupid since those souls have already been purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ!

My political affiliation rely's heavily on my theology as does every other aspect and decision making in my life. I do not lead a dual hypocritical life.

I am always concerned when the country moves too far left or right. Both are hazardous for the welfare of the county. I am concerned when the country moves too far toward welfare with no responsibility emphasized and I am concerned when the country moves too far in supporting unbridled Capitalism at the expense of the people.

And you are not concerned that the country is currently moving to far to the left?

It is too early to determine how far left the country will drift. The SC, which is quite conservative, will probably not allow a drastic drift left ... just as the majority of the middle of the road Americans will not allow it either.

The Constitution was written to re-direct the hyper goodness of either side and produce compromise.

Unfortunately, not every issue is amenable to compromise, as the Civil War and now abortion has revealed.

Are you concerned when the cabal that controls the Federal government advocates unrestricted abortion and is pushing legislation to deny medical care to the elderly? I would think that these issues would be of more concern to a Christian than anything else. If my memory is correct Israel was punished for sacrificing their children on the altars of false gods, much like Obama and the leftist slaughter of the unborn.

I guess we differ, my theology does effect my vote. I'm way to the right in my theology to a lot of folks and a registered Republican. With that said the last Republican who ran for the president that I voted for was Ronald Reagan. The first time was hard because he was a JFK backer and had said FDR was a hero of his, but he did a good job so the next time was easy. Up to this point of my life I have never voted for a Democrat for president.

Most Republican today seem to me to be Democrats of yesterday.

If you have read my posts over the last two years you will remember I have said I do not support abortion not denying medical care to anyone. I may be wrong, but I believe you have attacked me on health care because I am not in favor of denying medical care to anyone in need of such care.

If my memory is correct Israel was punished for sacrificing their children on the altars of false gods, much life Bush and the rightest slaughter of innocent civilians around the world that also enriches the military-industrial complex.

Yep, it's those darn Republican warmongers and their industrial-military complex killing all our young people for profit.

Here's an interesting video that compares wars started by Democratics versus Republicans and the number of U.S. deaths attributed to each. Go down to American Leadership and War and press "Play". You might be surprised at the results.
