Whatever the underlying reasons, solidarity is still the better way to go. Union contracts are not made among gentlemen. Big business is interested in bottom line profit margins only. The global mix just accentuates the prevalence of greed worldwide. The labor force usually winds up on the short end of the bargain. Curious how the CEOs get bonuses for bad management.

"A workman is worthy of his hire"

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Of course they are. That's the way the UAW works. Many states have outlawed card-checks because union organizers either lie about the cards' purpose (as in Chattanooga) or they bully the workers, telling them in front of all their coworkers that, if they don't check the card, everyone is going to know they didn't.

While the idea of Unions is good the reality is unions are just as corrupt as business if not more. When it comes to unions verses business people are just choosing one evil over another.
