In poor taste? Definitely.
I don't think so...which race would it be racist against, given he is mostly white?
Nope, not racist. It is Capitalism at work, trying to make a buck.
No more so than it was racist when they made Chia heads for famous white people.
I must agree with Crabtown!!!
My big question is not whether its racist or some form of Capitalism-----my big question is-----what IDIOT would WANT to actually buy one of those things????
Capitalism at its best gives me an option NOT to buy into someone else's idiot ideas!!!
Gracious---what will they think of next??
Obama hasn't had an afro since his days of being mentored by communists, working for ACORN, and smoking weed.......wait, so the only thing that has changed is his hair style?
first time in the history of my life that when you disagree with someone it's autmatically called racism.
Off topic. Also false premise.
no, it's not off topic, the topic is racism.
No, the topic is if the commercial/product is racist. Stay on subject if you can.
That has actually been going on for a little while now.
See Rodney King
See Michael Jackson
See Clarence Thomas (oh wait, he's white, isn't he?)
It is going to be played up more and more.
The product isn't racist, it is flattering. Much like all of the t-shirts, buttons, dolls, and so forth, its to make a buck and it will be purchased as gag gifts for people around Christmas time.
It is based off of the outward appearance of the individual, what ethnicity does the person resemble more than the other. Whether the race they resemble accepts you is up to the culture in your area.
Haven't you heard?
Capitalism is racist. Anything Obama dislikes is racist. Any disagreement with Obama is racist...
and there is no doubt he hates capitalism.
