The bible verse says that "All things work for good to those WHO LOVE God" Which doesn't mean all of God's people, just those who LOVE and follow him in obedience.

I think it boils down to what Scarlett said before, it is our RESPONSE that matters and only those who LOVE God and are OBEYING him can have the proper RESONSE....which is what is considered "Good" in this bible verse, not that things will turn out ok, but we will through it all trust God to see us THROUGH the trial and pain.

    How's that?

This ain't the Garden of Eden out here. We got an eviction notice from there. The two that were found there became lost. Jesus came to find that which was lost. He works in the lives of individuals now. Soon He will call the church out of this life. Then He will deal with every evil thought of man. Mankind. Humankind. That word "man" just keeps popping up in there......... I know! Then he will deal with every evil thought of folks!

You are leaving an important part out there, not just those who love God, but those who are THE called according to His purpose.

    Who does the calling?
    Not us!
Please consider that you are making our welfare a matter of works.
I for one can honestly say that God works things our for those who don't love Him like they should!
If God's blessing was dependent on my proper love for Him, I hate to think where I would be.

TBLADY: let me ask you this:

Who is sovereign in the affairs of men? God or Man?
    Who controls the future?
    God? Or mans "freewill"?

Ya'll maybe emphasize the wrong portion of the verse - according to His purpose. The good works out according to HIS purpose, not ours - the purpose of whatever God wants it to accomplish in the lives of those who Love Him. What we may view as pain and suffering in this life (which is a vapor) is nothing compared to the eternal outcome. Do we become bitter when suffering comes in our lives, or do we praise God and give Him the Glory and allow Him to accomplish His purpose in our lives?

You are right Dale I did leave out that part. As I went through my day, which was very busy, I kept thinking I left that out. I believe in being chosen and election.

I also agree with Ladyeagle in what she said.

I still believe that not everything is orchestrated by God as we have free will. God isn't going to keep someone from hurting another....I also do not believe he causes it either. But if it happens it is our response that matters most to God and like ladyeagle said nothing that happens on Earth is going to compare to our happiness in eternity with God.

    God didn't create robots.
