Iran has supplied Hezbullah with more than 10,000 short-range rockets and most of the weapons are deployed in southern Lebanon within reach of Israel, an Israeli diplomat said Thursday.

The rockets, some of which were provided by Syria, have a range of up to 110 kilometers, said Jeremy Issacharoff, the new deputy Israeli ambassador to Washington, at a conference on Iran sponsored The Israel Project, a nongovernment advocacy group....

    And in a related story.....

JERUSALEM - Israeli said its warplanes struck in Lebanon on Tuesday in what Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz described as the largest-scale Israeli response to cross-border attacks by Lebanese guerrillas since 2000.....

At least they responded to a real threat, not an imagined threat.

Israel shows great restraint, like always, probably due to pressure from the US. Again.

I wonder how reliable this Jeremy Issacharoff is.

From the second article: "The United States accused Hezbollah of provoking the fighting, and urged the Lebanese government to take charge of the area."

I am glad we are encouraging action to bring Hezbollah to heel. [IMG]

I guess that by the above quote you hold to the idea that the President and the current administration lied in order to move the nation to war in Iraq?

Funny but... our more liberal minded friends in the U.S. Senate saw the same evidence and voted to give the authority to the President to deploy our troops and go to war.

There has not been a single shread of evidence provided that supports the idea that the President/administration "cooked the books," lied, or twisted the data. There has only been political accusations from a small group of liberal Senators (all of whom are hoping to make political hay for the Democratic Party in the upcoming 2008 Presidential elections).

    Kerry flip-flops once again!

We were more than justified to go to war even if it could be proven that there were no WMD's. If you want to blame someone, blame the UN for being on the take and not doing their job.

Does anyone think that Saddam used the last WMD on the Kurds--his own people? If they are not in Iraq they are just over the border in Syria.

Israel is really in the 'hot seat'.
