Amen! It is pretty much an issue of - this is a fundamentalist forum, but ifb's are not welcome - especially if they are cultist KJBO's.

    Is that pretty much it?

You summed it up rather nicely dcorbett.

The last guy that stood up for his views was banned - against the millennial hell for believers heresy.

It is probably the way he stood up for his views.

I use only the KJV and I'm still here. :wavey:

It is because a lot of IFBs are mean and nasty, and hateful...
You will not get banned if you play by the rules.

When you quesion the spirituality of others that don't use the KJV, you are breaking the rules...

I wonder if Jesus ever wanted to :BangHead: when dealing people?

Oh really? Seems that some of our mods are IFB. I think people that fit the posting criteria (e.g., Baptist in Baptist-only areas, etc.) and play by the rules (don't be a jerk, etc.) do just fine.

First, if you had a problem, I hope you appealed through the channels provided.

Secondly, I don't know to whom you refer, but I know of one IFB that was banned recently...his tenure on here was spent badmouthing and berating members and mods alike. When he got the boot, he went to other forums and whined, gossipped, and complained. His views, no matter how "correct," were pretty much irrelevant IMO, because he couldn't manage to conduct himself like an adult Christian ought to.

I wasn't aware that the moderators revealed the cause for his ban. What is the source for your conclusion BBB?

Good point and good questions by Rufus_1611.

The only 'reason' for banning that I have ever seen by any moderator is "for violation of Baptist Board rules", which any can read, and all of us agree to abide by when we became members, no matter of what flavor or background.

And now three questions for Baptist Bible Believer:

How do you know who was "the last guy to be banned", necessarily? I was not aware that there was a running list kept for the rest of us to read, and keep track of 'when'.

Secondly, if one is banned 'for standing up for his views', how come I'm still around? I'm pretty sure that some of the positions I advocate and defend are not shared by the majority of BB members, and I seriously doubt by all moderators, either. And I have over 2000 posts in a year that one can read.

Third, where can one go to find out this "inside information" you are claiming? Or is it actually more likely you have merely "jumped to a contusion (sic)" here? (Language Cop: "This is NOT a typo!")

    RBell,

Tried to send you a PM but couldn't. I trust my post did hasten the removal of your avatar? I thought it was interestingly weird.

I don't question ANYONE's salvation. That is between you and God. I have long felt that I was banned for being a forceful woman who voiced her opinions......by a person of the other gender who has issues with such women.

But that is water under the bridge. My concern is major surgery on Thursday, and I have my faith to sustain me.

If you felt it was wrong, you should take it up with the Admins/Mods.

We know that Romans 8:28 is not simply a by-word that we Christians throw around when others are in need - but it is so much more than that - that there is absolutely NO bad thing that can happen in the life of a Christian; but that it is all ordained of GOD - the steps of a good man (or woman) being ordered by His infinite and perfect purpose.

My own pastor was so near to death only a couple of years ago - but GOD raised him up. Only today he reminded us that it was Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God" which comforted him the most in the bed of affliction.

His own father-in-law was as near to death as one can be with leukemia - and yet GOD has chosen to extend his life for service as well.

Now the doctors have told you that you have cancer - but praise GOD that they are not the ones that determine the end of a matter - but that our loving, heavenly Father is. And until He decides differently - than you can plan to have yet a long and effectual ministry among the saints.

Even Paul, who preferred death to life - was confident that he was on GOD's timetable - and not his own:

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again" (Philippians 1:21-26)

We often sing and are reminded that we still serve a Risen Saviour! He is on the Throne and He is in total control. And even this trial is not a surprise to Him.

May GOD bring comfort to you in this time of trial, Debbie.

Kinda puts some of our debates in perspective, now don't it??
Debbie, I will pray for you , as I have just had cancer surgery also, and although we "think we got it all" I will start Chemotherpy, as a "precaution" in a week, as the cancer I have is a fairly aggressive type, and tends to be very persistent. And a couple of 'escaped cells' could be somewhere in my lymph system. Let's both pray for the victory over this, for both of us.

And as Paul said, "forgetting the things which are behind, and looking forward to that which lies ahead, I press toward to the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

    Ed
