    Congrats to me and my wife on the birth of our first son on June 3. He's CUTE! (looks just like me, of course)!

    Pray for the wife. She had to be delivered C-section, so she's a bit sore, etc. Pray for me that I'll be able to sleep this week.

    Congrats to both of you! While I hope you get some sleep this week, I think I'll focus my prayers on your wife, so that she will recover AND get the rest she needs. :laugh:

    CONGRATULATIONS on your new little one! Children are such a blessing!

    Make sure your wife doesn't overdo it. I had 4 c-sections and the best thing was to take it easy - but get up and walk around regularly to keep from getting too sore.

    Also know that the first 6 weeks are hard. Seriously hard. You're learning all about a new human being and his needs and personality as he's figuring out what the heck this whole world is about! I found by the end of 6 weeks, things began to get into a new "normal" and life was beginning to be easier. Not that my kids slept through the night at that time or anything but I was now into a routine and knew the baby well enough to be able to have some kind of a routine around their body rhythms. :)

    So take it easy, bring in dinners for your wife and let her rest as much as she can. Remember she's recovering from surgery AND has a new baby.
