You must not have tv in your cave. Even the corporate media has reported on Obama's kill list and 30,000 drones destined to be in our skies. You'd have to do an awful lot of tuning out to miss the fact that we have gone from a republic to an open air panopticon in just the last 11 or 12 years.

LE is right. There's no sense in arguing with you about this. You ain't gonna see what you don't want to so why should she waste her time providing you with evidence you should already be aware of?

And what are you going to do over the next four years to change the quality of the nominees for President besides post on BB? My guess is absolutely nothing.

What can be done? I ask this sincerely. Besides writing emails to Republican representatives (which I've done) and attending caucuses every 2 years (have not done, yet), what can the average citizen do?

You can start now, not four years from now, working locally to organize citizens to register to vote as Republicans. You can set out flyers, talk to folks and pass out copies of the Constitution. Work within the framework of your county party structure. Attend meetings, join in on organized activities, network with officials at the state level. Attend regional and state meetings. Position yourself to be a delegate to a state convention. Encourage talented business owners or other local leaders to run for local office. Become a party official yourself. Move up. Get into the state organization. Help recruit talented people to run for state wide office. At the state convention, run for a delegate to the national nominating convention. Need I go on?
