Allah gave his only begotten son for our sins? I missed that along the way. From what I hear Allah "begets not, nor is he begotten."

'Allah' is simply the word 'God' in Arabic. That's how Arabic-speaking Christians say 'God' - they don't speak English like we do.

Well, it's not quite as simple as that. There is only one true God and His Name is Jehovah. Jehovah and allah are not the same. Allah is the moon god and his sisters are the stars.

    LE

Now if you keep talking like that you will offend me . . .

Ain't that about ridiculous . . . let the offense fall. I would rather 1.6 billion be offended by the Cross and 2 come to salvation than to not offend and lose even those two . . .

Repent! Be Baptized! What part of the command are the radicals not being taught? That is the part they need to hear.

Let them burn effigies till the cows come home, but let them be washed by the Blood of the Lamb. Let them fall down before the Throne with tears at the horrible things that they have done . . . the worst offense is refusing the Blood of Jesus.

Would that it were that simple. Unfortunately it is not, and my meaning was clear.

Yeah, in English - but the Arabs don't speak English.

Right, the word 'God' and the word 'Allah' are the same, one in English, the other in Arabic. There are Christians who speak Arabic - they pray to Allah as we pray to God.

That's was true 1400 years ago, but the Moslem Allah is based on the Hebrew one while the Christian Allah is the Hebrew one plus the Holy Ghost plus Jesus.

Btw, what religion was Abram's daddy?

Daisy is concerned with what religion Abraham's dad was.

I would be more concerned about my salvation than about a dead man's . . .

That is based on a great misunderstanding. Like the Israelites, the Arabs had lost knowledge of one true God, and the name of God became lost amidst a pantheon of gods. If God had not been working with the Israelites, Jehovah would have become one of a pantheon as well. We can see it beginning right as the Law was beginning, and God always stepped in to correct them. That is why "allah" which comes stright from the Hebrew Eloah and Aramaic Elah (the names actually used in the Bible, which accompanied YHWH/JHVH) came to be one god out of many, and had sisters, etc. Some of the other "gods" in this pantheon were originally names of attributes of God, such as "rahman, the merciful" and "rahim the compassionate" (which are the same as Hebrew, and can be found in the Bible). "allah" on the other hand is simply "the God", and it is obvious that the name is above all the others.
So Muhammad tried to restore monotheism, and stripped away all the other gods in favor of Allah. To an outsider who doesn't know the whole story, it might look like he simply "chose one god out of many", but it isn't. When he said that "allah neither begets or is begotten", that is actually aimed just as much or even more at the pagan concepts (where he had sons, daughters, sisters, etc) as it was at the Christian concept which he apparently thought was the same, and thus misunderstood.
So in trying to reestablish worship of the God of Abraham was more influenced by Jewish thought than Christian thought. So while acknowledging Jesus as the Anointed, he sided with the Jews' belief that God is "undivided" in the sense of not baing able to onsist of "Three persons" or have a "son". (And the Church at the time did not help by exalting Mary to such a position that Muhammad thought she was actually the third person of the Trinity!) He then distanced himself from the Jews, but kept that point of belief. So he established a false concept of monotheism. But the whole "moon god" charge is false, and we should not argue on that point. We face enough trouble having to tell them Muhammad was deceived, so making such a deal over the Arabic name "Allah" is a waste of time. Especially when, as I just pointed out, the Jews have the same concept of God having no Son (and they do not even acknowledge Jesus as anointed by Him, as at least Muhammad did). You, LE apparently would never call Jehovah or YHWH of the Jews a "false god"--"because He has no Son". But if you're consistent; it is the same exact thing.
The Jews and Musilms concept of God is true inasmuch as it is the God of Abraham, but their concept of God is false as it doesn't recognize the Sonship of Jesus, the Messiah.

Eric, no old testament saint ever went to mecca and kissed the black stone, despite islamic tradition that Abraham and Ishmael found the black stone.

If what your sources or what you say is true and allah is just another name for Jehovah of the Israelites, why did Mohammed behead 800 Jews for not accepting his god? What would have been the point if it was just semantics?

Also, if what you say is true, why do muslims pray towards mecca rather than Jerusalem?

PS: Eric, I meant to ask you to list your sources of information and provide links.

Your claim that the Arabs lost knowledge of the one true God doesn't square with the Bible (at the time the Psalms were written), since the Arabs/Muslims claim they are descended from Ismael. Look at what Psalm 83 says:
