I'm curious if this would have been as big a topic had Richards been black, and the hecklers white?

 

Actually, there is precident. Jessie "Hymie Town" Jackson has had a slip of the lip, slamming the Jews, and he wasn't even drunk. Why he is elevated as some sort of racial liason is quite confusing.

Also, I'm amazed that people are bending over backwards to bring Richards back into some sort of fold that he has obviously never even been in, but will write Limbaugh off as a racist. I've NEVER heard Rush say anything like what this hateful bigot said.

 

Probably not, unless the hecklers were also Jewish, but is there a culturally equivalent black -white taunt to lynching?

How come you good Baptists know all about garbage tv shows, garbage night club acts, and other assorted garbage?

I don't like the word... I never have. But will they be so quick to stop using the "white slang"? I think the "N-Word" is atrocious, but what about all the other words for all other color groups? Are we only to single out the "black words" to stop using?

 

Until blacks stop referring to themselves and other blacks as N******, it's hard to take them serious when they object to people of other races calling them the same.

 

Richards suggesting that guy should be lynched seemed a bit more offensive than his repeated use of that word.

 

Ah, but they're not speaking out against "excessive hatred" or even "temper management"... but his use of the "N-Word." I agree that it should stop, but it seems a little one-sided to me to quit that but maintain other racial slurs as ok.
