Jesus is a man, a son of man. Therefore Jesus has a soul. God created all souls. Therefore God created the soul of Jesus!

If you do not believe this, please post the reason or reasons

Jesus is the only human that "existed before hand".

Jesus speaks in John 17 about having a life with the Father prior to coming to Earth.

Paul makes the same case in Phil 2 about Christ.

Christ's human body had to be "created" "a body thou hast prepared for me".

But Christ "the person" the entity - existed from eternity past - as God the Son.

On Earth Christ was God and was man - but He chose not to use any God "power" of His own according to His own words on that subject.

    in Christ,

    Bob

You lost me on all this...

    Let us start here----------->

Jesus is a man, a son of man. Therefore Jesus has a soul. God created all souls. Therefore God created the soul of Jesus!

    Do you believe this?

I believe God created the Body of Jesus - but you are going into the bit about whether "God has a soul" -- for which we have no text - I am not prepared to answer it yes or no without an actual text. Inference alone will not cut it. If God defines soul as the "essence of the Person" - then the Second Person of the Godhead has existed from all eternity - and no one "created His soul". If you are arguing that as a human he was TWO PERSONS - God the Son and Jesus the Human - then I think that is going too far.

How about you start here ----> define soul

Do you mean - PERSON, as in Adam became a living soul?
Do you mean - PSYCHE, as in Jesus having the ability to think?
Do you mean - SPIRIT, as in the immaterial aspect of a being?

If you are a soul (spirit), and you have a soul (psyche), and you become flesh, then you are a soul (person)

So, start with defining SOUL, and then maybe you're off to a better start then just asking if someone believes that Jesus has a soul

Or are you hoping to catch someone slipping with their words so that you can exploit them?

It is not necessary for me to define soul for anyone to answer this question.

Jesus is a man, a son of man. Therefore Jesus has a soul. God created all souls. Therefore God created the soul of Jesus!

    Do you believe this?

But I will do this just for you!

Jesus is a man, a son of man. Therefore Jesus has a soul. God created all souls. Therefore God created the soul of Jesus!

Which part of this do you not believe?

No, I am separating the chaff from the wheat. Does that make you angry?

Yes, it is necessary, because of this:

Had you simply defined "soul" as you see it, then the previously quoted exchange would not have happened. Clark Thompson would have known that you were not equating soul and spirit, and he would more than likely have responded differently, or not at all

Seems more like a game than anything else.

A little while back, someone came with a question - Are you walking in the light?

After dozens of replies, to which the original poster mocked, many people had asked him what he meant by "walking in the light"

He never offered an explanation, just kept asking the same question. He had people almost begging him to expound a little. Just enlighten us a little as to his superior knowledge of walking in the light. Finally, after a few more dozen exchanges, the blog was shut down without any closure at all.

This seems to be your aim. I'm not saying that it is your aim, just that it appears as such. To play games, and have people begging you to enlighten us a little.

So, wise one, tell us what it is that you're getting at, and there just might be a fruitful exchange

    I hardly think so.

In Matthew 3:12, John the Baptist is speaking of the Christ and says:
His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire

Since Matt 3:12 and Luke 3:17 are the only scriptures which mentions wheat and chaff, and it is said that Jesus Christ will do it, then it must be pointing to one of two possibilities as it relates to you:

    1) Either you are attempting a task to which you were never called, and for which you are woefully inadequate, or...

    2) You think you are the Christ. In which case I will pose one question to you - Do YOU have a soul? That is, after all, your own question.

As a matter of fact, it does. I get pretty angry when imposters try to bring confusion into the midst of saints.

Not everyone is equipped with the discernment necessary to protect the flock from ravenous wolves. For those of us who do, it is our duty

I see you’ve claimed your role. Remind me again who it is that separates the chaff from the wheat.

Christ is a title. - the Greek word for "Messiah" so "Spirit of Jesus is Christ" makes no sense.

We all knew that - right?

    in Christ,

I do. it is how I purge what I learn. If I did not purge what I learn then I would have a contaminated truth. I do not want that for myself, so I try to prove everything I learn or know to be incorrect and correct. That leaves me with nothing but the truth! This what I call separating the chaff from the wheat!

What is your soul? What is a soul? What are the specifications and parameters of the soul of a man? Those are all good things to learn in the pursuit of the knowledge of truth!

So let us define what a soul of man is in words.

I will start off by saying that you must love God with all your soul?

So what part of you would you say this is of you?

I know that Jesus loved God with all his soul!
