    JD,

    1. Thanks for this info:

"Jesus did not come to Earth to BE the Messiah.
-Jesus refused by word and deed to be the Messiah.
-The Jews cannot be blamed for not accepting what was never offered."

    2. What is the future of evangelicalism, when we read and hear things like this? Lord, help us, I pray!

OK, so more than the few books Mr. Hagee wrote that are advertised as fiction really are fiction ;)

It really is a sad day when such rank heresy is being spewed by such a popular preacher. I know that well-versed dispensationalists will be unfairly tainted by this.

But I can't resist another jab - another title for the video might be "Dispies Gone Wild!"
    :)

    1. Personally, I think Hagee's zeal for the End Times and God's eschatological program for Israel is driving him crazy.

    2. I've even heard where he's raising millions to relocate all Jews back to the "Holy Land."

Yikes. First I find out that Texas is a hotbed of Millennial Exclusion, now this (Hagee is in San Antonio). There goes the neighborhood.

    Note to self

Check the card catalogue Sunday to double check for John Hagee books that are NOT already classified as fiction. . .

While I am no particular John Hagee fan, and in fact, have never heard him, nor read anything he has written, I do have a couple of observations on this thread.

Actually, the statement/title of this thread is correct. Jesus did not come to BE the Messiah, meaning that was something He would 'attain'.

But rather, He came AS the Messiah, for He is, was, has always been, and will always BE the Messiah, even before the foundations of the world. (Heb. 13:8)

Peter did not say, in his confession of whom Jesus was, that "You are going to be the Christ (Messiah), the Son of the living God, at some future time, upon your sacrifice on the cross, and upon assuming the physical Throne of David!", or anything like that, at all.

Rather his confession, completely in line with what Apollos wrote in Hebrews is,

I went to bed (I'm on the opposite coast) AND I had to look up "byword."

    Feeling archaic this a.m.
