It's true. Even more to the point, Jesus said we are to love our enemies.
Which is not to say there are no consequences for doing things Osama does.

    Different issue entirely.

But I do think it's a point Christians need to remember always.

I wonder what the motivation behind it is.

It can sound to some as though everyone is saved. Many unbelievers would interpret it that way.

We should never sugarcoat the truth to satisfy nonbelievers.

It might be true, or it might not be.

I am not prepared to say either way, unlike some people on this board who seem to have an insider's view of the Lamb's Book.

What part of John 3:16 would indicate God does not love Osama...lost as he may be?

    Oh, here we go...

I do not believe John 3:16 is referring to the entire race of Adam. The word "world" has many uses and refers to a definite number, or specific group, of people. You believe that it means the whole of all the people in the physical earth. I do not. It's that simple.

I do not want to debate this here, which is why my comments were left short.

I think this thread is more about the fact that, even if people here view it as the truth that God loves Osama, it is not a popular thought and is provoking to many people. It is one of those things that might be better left unsaid, or at least not plastered on a large board outside the church. The church, in my opinion, is asking for trouble from radical Muslim groups, as well as self-proclaimed "Christians" who really do not know what they believe.

I wasn't trying to bait you into an argument. Thanks for your answer. I disagree, and I'll leave it at that.

Psalm 11:5, "The LORD trieth the righteous, but the wicked and he that loveth violence, his soul hateth." My Bible says God hates Osama.

    Reconcile that with Romans 5:8
