Although this man's privacy should be respected, no one thinks it will in today's world. The ironic thing to me is that it was obvious that McCain was talking in general terms that could be applied to many people in many walks of life.

I didn't hear this on the news but someone at Work said that this "JOE" guy wasn't even a register voter. Just thought I'd mention that.

It's all over, you can't go to a news site without reading up on Joe. Here is factcheck.org.

Then parts from this news organization from the UK

I will digress since it is starting to get out of hand. They are now saying he's not even a plumber but a contractor and he was on a conservative talk radio show comparing Obama to Sammy Davis Jr.

I can't verify these things so I will digress until the truth comes out on this guy.

It depends on what turns out to be true about Joe (or Sam)... Folks will be even madder if this whole thing turns out to be a setup. Talk about dirty politics at it's finest but I was asking myself last night, "plumbers make that much"?

McCain is the one who opened his life to scrutiny when he mentioned him in the debate. If McCain wouldn't have mentioned his name then no one would be looking into his accusations and trick questions.

    Now I'll digress... Promise.

"Mr Obama said that under his proposal taxes on any revenue from $250,000 on down would stay the same, but that amounts above that level would be subject to a 39 per cent tax, instead of the current 36 per cent rate."

I'm wondering if Obama knows the difference between "revenue" and net income.

Of course there is the possibility that he does know the difference and he really does plan on raising taxes for anyone/small business with "revenues" over $250,000.

Joe was seen questioning Obama a day or two before the debate and it was captured on video. Don't try to attack McCain with it. The liberal media already had their minions busy at work trying to destroy this guy because he dared question their anointed one.

McCain referred to him 24 times in the final Presidential debate. He must consider Joe to be very important. That's why it's important to check up on the story.

    From the internet about factcheck.org:

There is a disturbing link between Barack Obama, FactCheck.org, and William Ayers. National Review reports that William Ayers and Barack Obama both served as co-chairs of the Chicago Annenburg Challenge.

Obama called for an $3.5 million dollar earmark for the Annenburg Foundation that sponsors FactCheck.org.

Several FactCheck articles have been viewed as promoting the Obama campaign line instead of truly acting as a fact checkers. Controlling the ‘facts’ is a hallmark of a totalitarian regime, and this is truly an unsettling connection.

I promised to digress off Joe...

But McCain brought him up. No one was thinking abut Joe until McCain brought him up in the debate.

So where is the support? The conservatives have accused everyone to be biased against them to include the voting booths so we're really running out of places to call the truth. Please post the link where this "fact" was found so I can take a good look at it.

I found the story on a site called "death by 1000 paper cuts". Was this your source?

looks like the McCain Palin blog site has the article also

That, of course, is the whole point of all the attacks: to distract people from what Obama actually said. The story here is what Obama said, not who asked the question. If Osama bin Laden had asked the question to which Obama answered, "spreading the wealth around is good for everyone," it wouldn't matter. The issue is, do you want a president who wants to 'spread the wealth around?' Or do you want one who actually understands how the economy works and wants to help create jobs and more opprtunity for everyone to earn more of their own wealth?
Obama has admitted, in completely non-spinnable terms, that when it comes to economic matters he is a committed socialist, if not actually a communist. Even if it turns out that Joe the plumber is a serial killer, it would not make the words Obama spoke to him less significant.

    Here's a great graphic from a contest.....

Heather Mantovani is a design student who sent us her ideas for helping folks in this politically charged season to better understand fundamental differences in sociopolitical ideals. The first is called “Fish or Fishing Pole?” (.pdf) Heather suggests you fold the card in half and stand it on the TV while watching political debates. After each candidate offers a plan or idea or response, the card reminds you to evaluate whether the candidate is offering you a fish (something to help you only briefly) or offering you a fishing pole (to help you to sustain yourself better from now on). Great idea!

Six-term Sen. Joe Biden’s got some nerve going after Citizen Joe the Plumber. But the entrenched politician from Delaware, who fancies himself the nation’s No. 1 Ordinary Joe, had no choice.

Obama-Biden simply can’t tolerate an outspoken citizen successfully painting the Democratic ticket as socialist overlords. And so a dirty, desperate war against Joe Wurzelbacher is on.

The left’s political plumbers are attacking the messenger, rummaging through his personal life and predictably wielding the race card once again. It’s standard operating procedure for the Obama thug machine.
