The flame of freedom and liberty burns a little brighter with the replacement of Ashcroft as Attorney General.

I didn't see anyone here say that. Some of you guys have no problem making stuff up ... That is sad.

If pro life protesters break the law then they should be prosecuted. That simple. It doesn't depend on whether you are pro-life or not. Protests are largely pretty useless. After all, look how much good they have done.

Galatian stumbled on an all too prevalent truth when he said that some people just don't understand government. Like I said, let's learn about government and how it works. SCOTUS has determined abortion to be protected under law. I believe they are sorely wrong. But I don't get to disobey the law in pursuit of that. There is a legal means to pursue that. The AG had nothing to do with that decision.

Ashcroft did a good job as attorney general. Freedom and liberty were protected under his watch and will probably continue to be.

Spoken like a true blue liberal. Oh, puleeese!

I imagine if the truth be known, all the graft and corruption in Washington, DC and throughout our government took it's toll. He has health problems, but the resignation letter to President Bush was 4 pages. In 4 pages, one could pretty well guess there were other issues for leaving besides the official reason given for stepping down. He probably will need a good long hot shower once he leaves Babylon on the Potomac.

Thanks, BIR, for posting the link. [IMG]

A gentlemanly and diplomatic way of saying the stress and evil and constant attacks on my character, threats of lawsuits, (and probably threats on my life from the wicked) have exhausted me.

At least, that's my take on it. God bless him. He has served our country well.

He served the government well at least. Must not be easy for a true American patriot to knowingly increase the federal governmants powers over the people and further limit the liberties so many other true American patriots died supposedly defending.

If the SCOTUS said that it was legal to kill the elderly or the handicapped would you support the law or would you do whatever it takes to protect those lives that would be butchered under the new law?

Abortion is an American holocaust, over 36,000 babies have been butchered since George W. Bush was re-elected on November 2nd. He has made it a point to talk about the "war on terror", Social Security, Immigration and other issues, but has done nothing to stop the murder of innocent children daily, simply because the SCOTUS has said it's legal.

We need another revolution, we need to stand up for the unborn children, even if it means breaking the law.

Bush is being consistent in his speeches since the election. As I pointed out many times, abortion wasn't even listed on his detailed, official agenda...and he hasn't mentioned it.

You get what you vote for.

I would do what I do now ... Not support the law, preach and teach about the sanctity of human life, and use legal means to change it.

Bush has said something about abortion. He said he wanted a culture where every child was protected by law and welcomed into life. That means he views hte unborn as a "child" that should be protected by law. But he has to work through the constitutional government to attain that.

But in standing up for the unborn, you may break the law when you are required to disobey God. Biblically, if you are not required to disobey God, then you have no biblical grounds for civil disobedience. You are then disobeying God. I will work to change the human heart about abortion. If the government forces me to participate in an abortion, I will disobey.

The Bible is still the Bible, even when it doesn't tell you to handle problems the way you think they should be handled. God is still God, and we must submit to him.

I can support President Bush, having voted for him, without approving of every move he makes. There is no one who could be president whose every move I would agree with.

Like Ken, I probably would disagree with something any president would do.

I too, thought Ken was joking.

I am out of election mode now. It's time to solve problems in this nation. And that requires all of us - conservative, moderate, liberal - to work together and stop fussing at each other until the next election.

The time to work together was last Tuesday. Unfortunately, most Christians ran over to the "winning side".

I guess it was the anti-abortion thing. Jim "abandoned" Christians because he wouldn't let go of that principle.

Poor guy, he didn't realize the point was to win, not to do the right thing. Wake up, Jim.

    :D

Yeah. I guess we're supposed to be happy for another 31 years of excuses at 3800 babies per day. No thanks, I'll vote for people who actually want to do something about it. But, so far we're losing the battle for the unborn to the "Christian Right".

And now, because of your vote, something will finally be done about it.

What do you think is going to be done about it, Larry?

Another of those "partial birth abortion bans" that just made abortionists change their technique slightly and keep on killing?

But it sure was good campaign publicity, um?
