    Well, he did burn people at the stake you know

    Only the civil government of Geneva had the authority to burn people at the stake. Calvin's disciplinary authority was limited to the church and typically consisted of denying communion.

    Hello Bob,

    This statement is brought up by anti-Calvinist a lot. I always like to ask, if this is true what does this mean? Are you saying that even though his writings are good, that because he sinned we shold not read them?
