I've been reading some of Yoder's works lately.

Anyone here have opinions on his work?

I seem to recall a book entitled The politics of Jesus. He was a Memmonite and great teacher of the importance of pacifism. Aside from that, I fear I don't know much more.

    Cheers,

    Indeed.

While Yoder does hold to a fairly high Christology I still find him too liberal in his views on the authority of scripture.

Nonetheless I have found great wisdom and insight in his writings.

Charles, I always try to take from books the best of them and overlook what I consider flaws. Even Harry Emerson Fosdick, the greatest liberal Baptist, had some good points to offer.

If I am not mistaken, he even taught at an RC seminary. If I remember correctly, he was not an easy read. One had to digest every word and phrase to understand where he was going.

    Cheers,

    Jim
