As I said, you put forth that a Saint does not break God's commandments. And then you put forth that a Saint can and thus lose salvation. which way would you like to have it??

You a playing "yet another Steaver game" swaping out "what a saint is supposed to do" with what a saint "may choose to do and then suffer the consequence".. You prefer your gaming to the actual text.

Rom 8
5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the Law of God, for it is not even able to do so,
8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

According to Romans 8 and Romans 6 - the saint can choose to obey the Word of God - or be in rebellion against it - and lose salvation.

But the lost cannot obey the Law of God according to Paul - will you continue to use the Bible to play your "game"??

Consider this "God is not mocked".

Those who claim to have an understanding of scripture are held to a stricter judgment. James 3.

According to BobRyan, a Saint does not break God's commandments. You have two opposing doctrines going at the same time.

Answer please, do you break God's commandments BobRyan?

Repeating your debunked game - does not restore the confusion you may have at first hoped to create. It has been exposed - you equivocate between what saints are supposed to do - and what they can/or cannot do -- as if we did not understand the difference.

Who is that supposed to snooker? you? I find that hard to believe.

Bob finds himself in quite a pickle and thus cannot answer a very simple question posed to reveal whether or not his preaching is applicable to himself.

We need an answer Bob, do you break God's commandments?

You "ignore the details" as if that is working for you.

BobRyan responds - Repeating your debunked game - does not restore the confusion you may have at first hoped to create.

Your game has been exposed.

Steaver equivocates between what saints are supposed to do and are capable of doing (choose to obey the Word of God) -- vs what the Lost cannot do - "obey the Word of God" - as if we did not understand the difference.

Who is that supposed to snooker? you? I find that hard to believe

You keep repeating yourself as if not knowing the difference above -- is one of your "games" that even snookers yourself -- but i find it hard to believe. I do not think you are so easily befuddled. I think you are more easily inclined to gaming the text of scripture.

The text you are trying to dodge in this case ---

But the lost cannot obey the Word of God until they are born again and do so by the power of the Holy Spirit.

(If you don't mind giving me ten more chances to hammer this point home and expose your transparent game - I am happy to oblige.)

in Christ,

Bob

Have you ever, in any way, rebelled against that which is written in the Word of God, and thus (according to your own theology as stated), lost your salvation?
My father was not saved. He told me he kept the Ten Commandments.
Was he wrong?
What made him any different than you?
He never murdered anyone; loved his wife; didn't commit adultery; etc.
What will you hammer home? That you are unable to apply the Scripture to your own life??

As you quoted:
"According to Romans 8 and Romans 6 - the saint can choose to obey the Word of God."
--Do you ALWAYS choose to obey the Word of God?
Yes or No?

The problem here is, Bob, that you presuppose <<the difference>> THAT DOES NOT EXIST: not in God's eyes and NOT EVEN in human eyes.
