I have MISSED being on the BB these last few months!

Life is beginning to settle down for us. Maybe another 6 months until I can say we are back to an even keel. Getting used to life without T has been TOUGH!

We still have a few, not really obstacles, but life events to get through:

Chris and Cade (plus 3/4 of their group of friends) graduate this spring. 4 separate schools. :D The last two weeks of May will be BUSY!

I discovered my kitchen floor sinking. Arthur (itis) says I'm too old to fix it myself and my kids AND inlaws are bucking for an entire kitchen redo. (NOT looking forward to that but considering it)

School was a bad idea this semester, but I persevered and looks like I haven't done too badly. (right now I have an A and a high B so)

Jenna went back to public school. That has taken some getting used to!

Decoration day is coming up. Hoping T's marker gets here in time. Who knew it took so long to get a headstone made? My name is gonna be mud down in the little town where he's from if that marker isn't in by decoration day which is the second Sunday in May. Won't be the first time.

And when May is over? We are taking as much time off from work and school as possible!! There are a list of things that need to happen in and around this house, besides the kitchen, and I'm hoping to get most of them done before school starts back in the fall.

So that is how I've been. Hoping everyone here is doing well!

    Cindi

Cindi, Its good to hear from you again! Life can be difficult after the loss of a loved one. I guess I have tried to make my own wife as self sufficient as I can because I 1st hand know the labors it takes for a woman to have to take over....saw it with my own mom when my dad died at 39 YO. But I have every confidence in a womans capability. I hope you will frequent BB & provide some balance here as well.....sometimes we could all use it.

God bless you & our prayers are with you. :love2:

Makes my heart glad to read the update. I've thought about you all often.

Wow, a whole brand new kitchen, I'd love to have one of those... :)

    Thanks ya'll.

KY, a new kitchen is NOT at the top of my list of things to do, but depending on how bad the floor is, I might not have a choice. Plus my refrigerator is 18 years old and the stove is original to the house (built in '86). I suppose it will add to the value of the house though. I'm a little scared to start asking for estimates though. I don't think I want to know how much it will cost.

Have you ruled out termites causing the floor to sink?
