Katie Couric Just Doesn't Get It

    Some thought the media portrayed a "polarizing of the country that they don't see," thought TV news "abdicated its role, really talking about facts and information rather than points of view," and want "more thinking, less spewing."

    Personally, I've had enough of news commentary. When do we get back to "news readers" ????? These "news" anchors spew forth 20 minutes of sensationalized commentary, then take a poll to see what we think. Go figure. I much prefer "Israel bombs Lebanon" to "Is this the end of the world?" Couric is Dan Rather Junior.

    You are most likely right. But she's basically telling us in advance not to expect "news" from her.

    I must say I am not surprised. CBS is going from bad to worse, I do believe.
