If a professing Christian does not regard abortion to be murder then one must hold reservation as to their claims of being a Christian. As I said, either they are false professers or they are VERY ignorant of God's Word.

    .

This is a sad fact of many Christians. Christians somehow wish to leave Jesus out of their political objectives. I wonder why? Do you think God understands why a Christian decides to vote for a non Christian or why A Christian decides that murder is not as important as his or her pocketbook? We will all be held accountable for the deeds while done in the body and voting is a deed. I don't wish to explain to Jesus why I supported a nonbeliever to represent me in Congress or why I found the murder of little babies less important than paying taxes. My loyalty lies with Jesus and His word in ALL that I do. Jesus and His Word is part of my ENTIRE life and not just as I feel free to pick and choose.

It is this simple. I as A Christian am called an ambassador for Jesus Christ by God's Word. As one of many representatives for Jesus Christ I vote for the canidate who represents me and my values in Christ. There is no serperation. One is either a Christian 24/7 in all that they do or they are Christian in need of some study and repentance. We are called to study God's word to show ourselves approved unto God. It is all about pleasing God and not about pleasing men. This goes for polotics as well as everything else in our lives!

    God Bless!

Moe? What does one of the Three Stooges have to do with this? I don't recall any Three Stooges episode where one of them played the part of a prophet.

Yes, I do think that He does understands why. We are not voting for a position in the church. We vote for people to fill public office and there are a lot more issues to factor in than just abortion. And, frankly, I don't think that a candidate's theology should even matter.

I don't know what your views are on soteriology or eschatology, but before you vote for a candidate do you insist that he/she fills out a questionnaire on these subjects to determine whether or not he/she agrees with your positions on these issues before you can vote for him/her?

    {Sarcasm} Oh, so let's leave it for our children to worry about? {/Sarcasm}

(1Ti 5:8) But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

How many of our Christian principles once gone do you think will be reinstated at a later date? For example, how hard will it be to outlaw abortion now after it's become an accepted way of life for so many, probably next to impossible to re-impose this moral law on a community that has been lied to? If it ever happens change it's going to take a big fight and be a narrow window!

No, however to some people it might, I mean just look at this thread.

My point was no matter what happened, who is elected or not, and what they do or don't do isn't as important some people believe it to be.

Trust God and everything will work out. That was my point.

That's why I think it is important that we conservative Christians go ahead and get behind an electable conservative such as Governor Romney and defeat the candidacies of Guiliani and McCain and whichever liberal the Democrats put forward in 2008. Remember, no one who has not been either a governor or a vice president has been elected president after 1960.

What we vote for is a person to "represent" our views and our values. Yes, there are many issues and ALL must be considered in light of God's Word concerning the subject. It is not what we "think" but what does God say!

    God Bless!

I have no idea if the constitution or any other law requires a person to place their hand and swear by the Holy Bible. I do know that if Ellison swears to uphold the teaching of the Koran then he must seek out and kill the infidels, that would be us Christians in his book.

    God bless!

    1) There is none.

    2) Only a tiny minority of Muslims have any desire to actually kill "infidels".

If there are 1.6 billion muslims in the world and only 10% of those actually want to kill infidels, I hardly think the 10% figure is a "tiny minority." Of course, you have no proof at all how many have any desire to actually kill infidels, but some people will believe whatever is necessary to help them to sleep at night because the truth might actually be too scary. Especially if they don't believe in a literal interpretation of End Time Biblical Prophecy and the Rapture of the Church.

I have as much proof as you do.:tongue3:

But I know there are not 160,000,000 Muslims fighting our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This may or may not be true. But how many secretly in their hearts cheer at the death of Jews and Christians? The point remains the same though, the Koran calls for them to shun and kill the Jew and Christian. Many don't have the stomach to do the physical killing, but as Jesus said, if you hate someone in your heart you are indeed a murderer.

    God Bless!

    Do you know?

Apparently some folks think it is a sizable minority or even perhaps a majority. I think it is a tiny minority. But I admit that I am an optimist by nature.

This quote is from post #17. I do not have the time to read the remaining posts, but I wanted to chime in at this point.

    Get a grip you say?
Many years ago there was a real and grave concern over allowing Catholics in government. The "constitutionalists" howled that there would be no problem. But one may simply observe the devastation which as been wrought upon all of our Christian principles in governing this nation BY CATHOLICS to see that the next great devastation upon this Republic WILL be by Muslims.

I am not fearful about what is coming. My Lord is with me and promises to see me through it. My fear is for the masses of Amaricans who are so illinformed that they see no problems when the hand writing is ON THE WALL IN FRONT OF THEM! I pray they will wake up. but I doubt they will. You say, why the doubts Jim?

"The only thing men learn from history is that men NEVER learn from history.

Add to that truism the clear Scriptural warning that a strong delusion is coming and you have this present nightmare unfolding while all the ostriches are busily hiding their heads in the sand.

Are you really this bigoted against Catholics & Muslims? Sad indeed! Where have Catholics been the only ones ruling in this country, and what "devastation" have they wrought?

If you read history, you'd know the state of Maryland was started as a Catholic colony. Catholics have just as much claim to the nation as do Baptists. This is why I am glad we have a secular republic, where the Constitution spells out that there are no religious tests for public office.
